Barracuda Fisheries

I don't know what the grease proof paper is meant to achieve but every time we get the fish home, it's lost all its crispiness and the soggy mess that's left sticks to this paper. It seems to happen every time. The fish is usually still tasty and the chips are good but if they could come up with a way of wrapping the fish so it's in the same condition when you get it home, it would be perfect. Maybe a box in future, looks like this is a common problem after seeing the recent reviews. Staff are always friendly, good sized portions and plenty of choice.

A use t’ gerra cake butty from Charlie’s on Soothill Lane for £1.20 in 2004. 2 bedroom ‘ouses in 2004 wor abart same as the ar nar. S’why’s me cake butty a FIVER?? Livid! Dint even av much fish in it!

1 star from me because off how the boss was pulling face's behind his staffs back instead of helping them !! Yes it was busy I can understand that!!but instead of slagging Ur staff off and pulling face's how about help them !! This is not the 1st time it's happened! I'm not one to write anything bad but that was rude !! I feel for Ur staff

Came over from York to try this after hearing great reviews, fish was cooked to perfection, nice batter , a ton of chips and the mushy peas were lovely, far superior to the other chippy we tried in Wakefield 2 weeks ago . Will definitely come again thank you Reserva una mesa ahora

We have been coming from dewsbury to this fish shop for years. But on our last visit the chips tasted like they had been made and sat around for quite a while. Very disappointing. Will need to start hunting for fish and chips nearer home.

Would have have 5* across the board if staff weren’t cleaning while I was getting served,one staff member went to finish an order directly after handling a brush for the floor
