We have been enjoying this lovely bar for some time now - both as a spot for a drink or two or somewhere to take friends. The atmosphere is relaxed, and there is always a good crowd. There is a good variety of beers and well-chosen wines on offer, and cocktails of course, and an excellent food menu with regular favourites plus a few specials which are changed regularly. The food is both tapas-style, or larger meal servings in a variety of dishes. Our favourites include the various croquettes on offer, the calamari, and the meatballs. We have been to Barr'ed a few times now and have never been disappointed with the food or service. It is close to home which is a bonus. We've tried the Paella and almost every Tapas dish on the menu. The degustation menu is great. We asked if we could swap a dish and the waitress was more than willing. Good value for around $45 there was more than enough food and you get coffee and churros to finish off! Will definitely return. Would make a great venue for a function.

Great little tapas bar with a few interesting items on the menu. Great service and excellent sangria we really enjoyed a quick dinner there. The deco is really funky and clever and bathrooms spotless which is always I hope a reflection on the kitchen. They are advertising music and weekend specials on meals so sounds like a good place to hand out on a sunny weekend. We will be back

Barr'd is a welcome addition to Ivanhoe with great tapas menu and an excellent wine list. The staff are very friendly and make great suggestions for both food and wine. The only down side is that it can be very noisy particularly on a Friday night. We ate there last Sunday for an early drinks/tapas at 5.00 and it was perfect. Thoroughly recommend. This is a little bar tucked away in East Ivanhoe, the food is very good, with decent servings for tapas. Ari and the staff there are very friendly and he will usually engage you in a long chat and remember you on your next visit. The bar has an excellent range of boutique and imported beers as well.

Went here with two friends on a Friday nite , shared 4 serves of tapas and churros with chocolate sauce and 3 cocktails each. It wasn't cheap but we enjoyed the dishes and the drinks. Happening little place . The spicy cauliflower was yum and saganaki amazing. Fish tacos good too

Some friends and I had drinks here and the nachos which were great came out in the pan they cooked them in which was a little different to most!! Cute little place. Staff very friendly. Good NZ wine selection too

Great local meeting spot to catch up for a casual drink and little nibble. Reasonably priced and warm service. Highly recommend!
