The service here cannot be faulted. Friendly happy staff who are obviously passionate about their food. If only I knew the tall guy who served us as he was exceptional. I had the zucchini fritters with the beetroot cured salmon. It was superb and presentation was excellent. As a chai lover my smile often disappears when the words "powder chai" is used. At this lovely cafe they use the best in my opinion - prana chai. The other thing I liked is when I arrived at the cafe there was no queue. A total bonus. Will be back
I've been here a couple of times to meet and eat, and it never disappoints. From traditional breakfast with wonderful thick cut bacon (worth getting as a side if your chosen dish doesn't come with it) to really tasty salads and great burgers, there's something for all tastes. The food is of a really high standard, and there's a good kid's menu too. Dog friendly outside. If I lived near by this would be my local.
Unique small cafe in leafy Glen Iris,with a seasonal changing menu.The food is always awesome and interesting.Right now their grilled haloumi is superb!! The coffee is great.Cool place to meet family and friends on any given day.This cafe somehow feels very Melbourne to me.Definitely worth revisiting.
The Golden Child is a conveniently located coffee shop near the bike trail. Service and coffee are good. I went there twice, once for breakfast, and once for lunch. Food is very good. They have outside seating both in the front and at the back. I like it. I will return.

I visited Golden Child with my partner and a friend for a quiet catch up and it was perfect. Coffee was delicious small batch that the staff were clearly passionate about, I had a Wagyu Beef Burger for lunch and definitely wasn't disappointed. Highly recommended.
I have had breakfast here several times. Being Canadian, I ate something different each visit. The food is wonderful and the service excellent. Also the coffee can't be beat.

Tumaric drink nice. Food ok and service could improve a little cold inside for a winters day. Mild heating would be nice
