If you're looking for a new twist on a brewery, this is your place. The rules of the game as it were is that you pay 20 bucks for a wristband that you wave against one of the what seems like 100 taps. They consist of wine kombucha some non-alcoholic teas, non-alcoholic sodas and overwhelmingly beer. You then choose a clean glass from one of the many cabinets strategically placed throughout the restaurant and basically pour yourself a glass of your beverage which is measured in ounces. At which point your wristband is deducted of its 40 oz allotted to it. Side note, you can always contribute more money to your wristband. The atmosphere is lively and has the rollaway garage doors that open to...
I really enjoy this restaurant for its beer selection and inviting atmosphere. They clearly label their vegetarian and vegan options, which is a big plus. I've tried the Iron Man salad and the mushroom flatbread. The salad was outstanding, while the flatbread was decent. The only downside to the flatbread was that the bread itself tasted quite cardboard-like, and the dip they provided was lacking in flavor and seemed unnecessary. I had to add quite a bit of salt to improve it. Despite that, the flatbread was still good, and I would order it again.
Great experience! This is one of those type of places it's worth going just to Experience it. Dozens of beers to choose from, self service. Test out this try that refill here sip on that. The food is basically a good bar food. To be honest I never have high expectations for brewerybar food. But I did enjoy the Burger and spinach dip. Get yourself down to the barrel Republic and sip on some brew!
I ordered the vegan wild mushroom French dip, while my wife chose the avocado grilled cheese. We also shared a tomato soup. I thought my French dip was quite good, but the fries and soup were exceptional. Unfortunately, my wife's sandwich didn't quite hit the mark. They did have decent kombucha on tap as well. Overall, the experience was just okay, but the beer selection was impressive.

Looks like the vegan options other critics enjoyed are no longer on the menu just 4 vegan options on the menu now (1 soup 2 salads and a chocolate peanut butter crispy bar) probably other things are modified to be vegan. Impossible burgers replacement for regular burgers for an additional $3 (all burgers have cheese and other non vegan stuff on them)
I had the mushroom 'fresh' Dip minus the bread excellent!!! The mushrooms were so good! I also had the tomato soup with avocado. It was spicy and a remarkable combination. They have almost 50 beers, wine, combooka and tea on tap.
Great location on the peasant market in Carlsbad. Perfect for people who watch and sample beers. You only pay for what you pour so you can try a lot of beer, wines etc. And they had cold coffee to go. Great place to hang out.
Hard ten. Clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Amazing crowd. Very social. Lots of beer to choose from. Even if I tried to find a mistake, it will be very impossible. Did I mention how amazing people work there?
