Messy, but tasty. I recently discovered that I really like Reuben sandwiches. Since then, I have been on a quest to find my favorites. Since I read that Barrett's Barley Corn had a good one, we decided to have lunch there today. I really liked the feel of the place when we first walked in. We were greeted and we got our drinks very quickly. It was a little while before a waitress asked if we had placed our order, but that gave us enough time to check out the menu. I noticed several other things I would have liked to have tried, but my heart was set on the Reuben. My husband ordered the Everything burger. Our food arrived pretty quickly. I recently enjoyed lunch with my mom's boyfriend at one of our favorite spots in Omaha: Barrett's. This restaurant is a true staple in the city, known for its outstanding bar and grill fare. I ordered the chicken Philly, and without a doubt, it’s the best in town. What makes it unique is the use of cream cheese and possibly a hint of peanut butter—though I'm not entirely sure about that. The chicken is incredibly tender and shreds easily with each bite, leading me to think they might boil it before grilling, but I can't say for sure. Barrett's Barleycorn has been recognized in local publications for having the best Reuben in Omaha. The Reuben at Barleycorn was generously stacked with thinly sliced corned beef, overflowing with Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Thousand Island dressing in every bite. The marble rye bread held up remarkably well against the delightful mess of the sandwich. I've tried several Reubens around Omaha over the past few years, and it's tough to pick a favorite. However, the one I enjoyed at Barrett's Barleycorn was truly excellent.

This was our first time ordering takeout from them, and it was absolutely fantastic! The reuben sandwich, fried mushrooms, and po' boy were all incredible. The service was incredibly friendly and thoughtful. Since we live only about five minutes away, the food arrived fresh and delicious. We will definitely return in person next time! I absolutely love this bar! The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is great, and the drinks are just right. It's the perfect spot for watching soccer matches and enjoying game days. I will definitely keep coming back to Barrett's.

Wonderful community atmosphere, proper bar/pub setting. Volleyball courts, large patio, den like party room. GREAT PRICES, I had the Reuben, not my favorite in Omaha. The bar food is properly done and the staff is friendly

Great choice!. Was looking for something new and decided to trust urban spoon and give this place a try. what a great choice! it was awesome great atmosphere and staff and pretty cheap good food! will be coming back again.

This is one of the few remaining dive bars thriving on Leavenworth. They offer a fantastic selection of draft beers, excellent service, and delicious food. Be sure to try the breaded mushrooms and the pork tenderloin! Reserva una mesa ahora

Great food !!. The place got packed with customers about 12pm. today. First time there since reading the reviews here. The 4 of us all got different items from the menu. All thought the food was great.
