Located at TMU where Yonge St meets Elm Street, east side of Yonge. It shares its space with TasteT House (a local bbt spot).Usually when I visit on weekdays either around lunch hours of 1-3 or after work 5-8, there's only 1 person ahead of me.Basil Box has a special place in my heart. I've been visiting several of their locations since they first started out in Toronto. It's one of my go-to spots when I need something that feels like healthier fast food. I highly DO NOT recommend Basil Box. I had the most terrible experience and feel taken advantage of. I ordered a custom box and asked for eggplant as my veggie of choice. The person proceeded to put two tiny pieces of eggplant on my box. I couldn't believe my eyes. When I spoke up about it the person said that they only give half a scoop of veggies. Two pieces hardly constitutes half a scoop. To top it all off I was only given 6 tiny cubes of chicken. I can't tell you how disappointed I am in this establishment. Not to mention they were out of so many menu items. Never going back. If I could give less than one star for service I would.

The served me RAW shrimps. Not even slightly cooked. And i ordered shrimp bowl with extra shrimps, i got a chicken bowl with raw shrimps thrown there. Whoever closed the place on tuesday night should be fired. Disgusting. Also, 5 dollars extra for 4 pieces of tiny RAW shrimpsEDIT: i reached out as they asked and no reply.. just for show

I eat lunch regularly here as I have celiac disease and the only place I truly trust for a quick lunch is this spot. The food is consistently good, big portions and the staff are always friendly and chatty. The food and customer service are excellent. I always tip because of this.

It was 12 and not everything was ready so we waited while the steak and aubergine were cooked. It didn't take long. Everything was delicious.Vegetarian options: You can build your own box and get exactly what you want.

I came in with my friends to have some gluten free food and I was surprised that their whole menu (minus the fried items) were gluten free and cost efficient too!! I will be coming

I've tried this place like three times but they continue to disappoint me, all flavorless and dry. Didn't even put any sauce on my fries.

I love this place. For a quick bite, no fuss, no drama. Just order a box, fine tune it the way you like, sit and eat. $14 with a drink.

I came in for lunch and had a Vegan Tofu Bao. It was so delicious and the bao buns were so soft and tasty.

Some vegan options. Had the Spicy eggplant and tofu stir fry and the tofu boas, both were very tasty
