After an extensive beach walk with the destination Eastland we reached the peasant rooms and a very cozy sunny place in the garden at noon. Since we drove to Eastland 30 years ago to eat a piece of East Friesentorte, but we were completely disappointed last year, we were only careful with the order. It turned out, however, that last year we have confused the café (there are two in the East! . Then the said cake and Mega was enthusiastic. Was as delicious as before. And it's good that we had to go back about 6 km on the beach... We'll be back. For a piece of East Frisenentorte in the farmhouses there is no way too far (also with strong east wind on the beach....

Unfortunately, we have been fooled by the good reviews. First we had a table reserved and were good things when we arrived. As an appetizer, we had baguette with Tzatziki and the fish snack. The soup was unfortunately very viscous and the fish was not really delicious. The baguette with Tzatziki was baguette....ok so far....with industrial sauce that was not to be surpassed at infallibility. main dish: borcumenical fish pan was not fresh and the rice was too dry; Potato buffer was an oil sponge and the meat was tough and dead. The staff was disinterested and the whole evening was too expensive compared to other good restaurants on Borkum. Save your way.

We have made a stop in the peasant room today. The service was very nice. Were kindly received and had received a rain-protected place. We ordered three crepes with fresh strawberries, vanilla ice cream and cream. I tried the East Friesentorte myself. Everything was very fresh and delicious. Very satisfied. We would visit the farmhouse again

The offer is about the same in both restaurants/cafes. Also the prices. Also the assault on beautiful days. The children's playground is a big plus of the peasant rooms. We also liked it in the peasant rooms, although we are actually Cafe Ostland fans.

We have come here for years and always plan our day-to-day walks to eat a drink and something in the farmer's bars. The food is very good and waiters and waiters are very friendly. They remember their guests. Very recommended
