My husband and I stayed at this resort on May 19th May 21st with other colleagues in a large group. We totally enjoyed the stay. The room was nice and spacious. The staff was very courteous and provided real time service in the restaurants....Andy who was off sick with a hip replacement came in to make special vegetarian food for our entire group. This was a very special touch which our entire group appreciated. He went out of his way to make falafel made from scratch. Although Andy was in pain, he left us with this special touch of caring and great customer service. There was a couple other staff members I interacted with me, one girl who is about to go for an ankle surgery and a young man...
We were on a Groupon reduced rate and received very good value for our dollar. We were upgraded to a cabin due to hockey team booking after us, which was very nice. It is the shoulder season so you roll the dice with the weather,...and we 'lost ' one full day as it was cool and rainy, but we just kicked back and relaxed around our cabin and in the main lodge. The staff were all very nice and accomodating, they even dug up an old post card for me as I am one of the last people still sending them! We only intended on eating one evening at the main dining room but the food was so delicious we ate there both meals. Would defintely go back, good jumping point to Rama too if you gamble or want to...
the restaurant is part of the room booking in bayview wildwood, which includes breakfast and dinner. the choices are changing every night in the evening and they are really what they expect for a high-end restaurant. all except alcoholic drinks is included. children. serve their own buffet, but sit with their family. the location is good at the main road, with landscape and recreation as a main focus. the rooms have been updated and the restaurant is a jewel. it was interesting to see that the guy who works in the skishop appears again as a server for dinner. the breakfast buffet is abundant.
The food at this restaurant was fantastic. On the first night, I enjoyed a slow-roasted rack of lamb with roasted potatoes, asparagus, eggplant, and zucchini ratatouille. The second night, I had a 10-ounce portion of deliciously seasoned meat with creamy garlic carrots and roasted red pepper spices, served with broccoli and a seasoned tomato. The chef even came out to interact with guests, answering any questions and making the dining experience even more enjoyable. It was a truly delicious meal.
We stayed in the cottages at this property and decided to dine at Echos for our Saturday afternoon meal. Luckily, even though they were closed for the rest of our stay due to low guest numbers during the off-season, we were able to experience their excellent service and delicious food. We were very pleased with our decision to dine here and would definitely come back again. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was fantastic! For dinner we had the prime rib, potatoes, vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. One of our kids ordered from the menu (cheese filled tortellini in a garlic cream sauce) and the other chose to have the buffet. You get to choose from...an appetizer, main and dessert! For breakfast there is a wonderful buffet with an omelet station. The bread and pastries were amazing!
The staff at this restaurant need better training. The young employees were not at fault for their lack of experience. There is a lot of potential here, but there seems to be a lack of motivation to do better. The food was just okay, with the standout being Taylor. He should be considered for a manager position, as Sherrie, the current manager, seemed to be overly controlling.
We had a group of 8 family members here for Easter Brunch on Sunday. We had been here many times over the years. The food is always delicious and plentiful with several choices. The only down note was that we were in the last serving...and staff were more interested in packing up and cleaning up that the usual great service. Next time we will have to go earlier.
I have been to this restaurant countless times in the past years but this year the food was very bland and tasteless. I had ordered wings and they were uncooked inside. My wife and daughter had the ribs and the sauce was too sweet. The...place is huge and when the food arrived it was cold. Pricy also! There are better restaurants in Wildwood. Avoid it!
