I went to this restaurant tonight with my brother for dinner. When we arrived, it took a moment to get a table because one group of 5 decided to leave when their table was ready. It was clear that the staff was short-handed as it took a long time to get our drinks and appetizers (I never received my drink because my server was covering multiple sections and also bartending, and was new to this location). Once I filled my bowl to be cooked, the line was very long, and when there were finally spots available for more orders, the cooks kept skipping us. As a cook myself, I know that none of the food on the flat top should have taken so long, especially when there is more than one person cooking...
My husband and I went here for my birthday. It took us 30 mins to wait for a table. Then the waitress came up rude. Didn't ask what kind of rice we wanted. We asked for tortillas and she forgot. We got them about 30 mins later and they were cold. We asked for napkins because we didn't get any through out our dinner. It took her another 30 mins to come back with them. Then we got the bill. She slammed it on the table and walked right to the bathroom. I got my receipt at 8:17. She cane out of the bathroom at 8:47. No apologizing and said nothing. Grabbed the receipt and walked off. This was my first visit to BD's Mongolian Grill, and I tried their lunch bowl, which was available for $13. The concept of the bowl is that you can choose the carbs (noodles), protein (meat and veggie options), as well as veggies, as long as they fit in the bowl. The sauces are chosen separately, and you can also ask for an egg to be cooked and served along with white or brown rice.I think you'll love this place if you choose your sauces properly, as they are the key ingredient to hold the veggies and meat together. I have visited BD's multiple times, and as someone in the food industry, I understand the importance of good service. Today, the only reason I am giving this restaurant 5 stars is because of the wonderful manager named Chelsea (I hope I spelled her name correctly). The waitress we had was terrible, but Chelsea quickly resolved the issue and even made the appetizer herself. This kind of exceptional managerial skill deserves recognition! I am grateful for the way she handled the situation and addressed it promptly. Great job!

Went here to pick up our online order we had placed 30 minutes beforehand. We waited almost an hour in the restaurant before finally getting our food. I made sure to check in in the car before taking it home. My food was only veg, no noodles, no rice. when we went in, they gave me cold rice noodles and a side of coulfour rice. I actually threw it up after 3 bites. The workers were kind, but this is a management issue for sure.
STAY AWAY!!! They changed the way they cook everything, portions, charging for tortillas now and no cheese allowed on the grill. Defeats having melted cheese for Mac and cheese. This place screwed up. I will never be back. They claim rebranding big mistake! Food isn 't even cut up like they used to on grill. Less choices too!
I had an amazing experience at the Mongolian grill. I enjoyed selecting fresh ingredients and watching them cook on the hot grill in front of me. The flavors were fantastic, and the stir-fry was incredibly delicious. This is definitely a must-try for food lovers!
My food was great, I got a Supreme Bowl to go with Fried Oreos … waitress was THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Whenever you go Into the Sterling Heights locations ask for EMA ! She’ll take great care of you! When I go back I ONLY WANT HER!
