Loved the decor which smart, stylish, but casual and suggested through clever structural and design features that it was an alfresco bar in Waikiki. The service was prompt and friendly, and the menu options cater for carnivores and vegetarians alike. The banquet looked amazing and reasonably priced, but a minimum of 4 people are required to choose this option. We had a combination of starters, mains and the icecream desert, and with the exception of the pork belly which wasn't crispy and the passion fruit syrup wasn't a pleasant flavour / texture combination, the meals were fresh, interesting and flavoursome. Good for-out + ambiance. Service was excellent (attentive but not invasive), food was delicious. What lets Beach Bum down is their price vs portion sizes. - A single taco for $9.50? Absurd. - a large'ish salad for $19? Reasonable- a tiny duck leg for $29? Delicious but outrageous. There's too much mid-range casual-dining competition in Adelaide for these prices. For a similar amount, you can be on the verge of semi fine dining (Press, 2KW, Peel Street). We enjoyed the experience, however it's difficult to justify a return visit at this stage.
From the moment we entered on a short notice booking the staff were attentive and extremely helpful with the menu. The cocktails were reasonably priced. My wine from Napa Valley was the best. The food what can I say. I recommend the deluxe menu share plater @$49 each. You get seafood, pork, beef and the most amazing duck ever. The brownie dessert is to die for and believe me you won't have room and need to take it home. My family of 10 including 2 grandchildren under 3 loved it. We will be back again
6 of us attended, for some reason it took 10 to 15 minutes for all the meals to be delivered. A bit embarrasing for thr host who recommended the restaurant.Service was very pleasant. Entres were very good. The mains were ok a bit lean on amount, certainly do get full. Watch the beer menu be aware of drink sizes. Would say it was an experience.

Catching up with friends I had heard of beach bum and thought we would give it a go. Funky vibes from the moment you walk in. Great interior design throughout. We shared a number of different Hawaiian dishes. Our absolute favourite was the salmon Poke Bowl! Hands down one of the best restaurants on O'Connell Street.
We had an issue with our booking for 6, which was resolved quite quickly. We had the banquet which was really good, as were the cocktails. The service was alright, it did take a while to get the attention of staff on occasion but all in all, it was prety good.
I went this place with my friend and it was very nice relax place for a Friday casual dinner - staffs were very friendly and love the menu - very interesting fusion. Loooove "the bus" setting in the middle (bar area). Worth to try.
Great ambience here and service is excellent and unobtrusive. Food was mostly delicious but I think the price lets it down a bit. However, it's not stopping me from coming back at least once a fortnight.

Really had a good time there.. We've had a great dinner. The entry and main course with chicken were so good !! The dessert was ok. Good ???????? for their friendly staff.
Excellent variety of drinks including cocktails/mocktails. Great variety of menu, fast service. Good atmosphere.
