"Beautiful place! Great hotel to have dinner with the best view ever. The bridge is apparently made my the same man who made the Eiffel Tower, which is a nice detail."

If you need to find a good place for lunch on the long slog north through France and want something other than a motorway stop, then look no further. It's a short distance from the A75 and well worth the detour. We had the Menu Express which was excellent value and proved delicious. The views to the viaduct and the lake added to the ambiance during our stop. Recommended.

Having stayed here 2 years ago I was eager to return. I booked through Logis de France for 2 rooms. I contacted the hotel a week before our visit to told that the booking was no longer valid and we could only have 1 room to squash 4 people into. I have never in 30 plus years in travelling in France ever been treated in this manner.

Wide choice of menus and a la carte. Traditional Auvergne cuisine. The aligot (cheesy purée potato) is delicious. The foie gras, prepared in house, is the best I’ve ever had. The beef is Aubrac, so tender. The ris de veau was also the best I’ve eaten.

The view from our suite was spectacular looking down the lake and from the restaurant the panorama was the Viaduct du Garabit. The food lived up to the views . A very well maintained and loved hotel. Thank you for a memorable visit.
