My boyfriend and I stopped in at Becco for a pre show meal. We had reservations through OpenTable and stopped in early since it was cold out they had no problems accommodating us and we were seated immediately. The tables are indeed pretty snug but we had a good time chatting with closeby tables and enjoying the atmosphere. We both got the pasta special including penne ala vodka with shrimp, a pesto pasta with green beans, and a cocoa pumpkin ravioli. The penne was my absolute favorite and I had the waiters drop by with a few helpings and they were not skimping! The food was outstanding, and the portions were generous. We had a reservation for 6:30 but arrived 10 minutes late. Despite that, we finished our meal in time to catch our show at 8. The service was efficient, and the location is fantastic.

For a NYC staple, I expected a little better pasta. The service was great and the atmosphere is very lively.
