I guess we should have ordered differently. Our shrimp lo main, and chicken chow mein were tasteless. The spring rolls and dumplings tasteless too, except too salty. Thank goodness for dumpling dipping sauces that had an abundance of garlic and flavor. Spring roll sauce came out of a packet; a too-sweet goopy chemical mess and no mustard. The noodles had no vegetables, just a big pile (lots of noodles) with about 8 shrimp. I could probably fix the food I ordered by adding other ingredients to make the dish better, but that is not why I ordered take-out; it should stand alone without any other fuss.
The owner is always incredibly kind and welcoming. We enjoy dining there for late-night dinners. The food is consistently delicious, and the servers, along with the owner, are always attentive to ensure that customers are enjoying their meals and tending to any additional needs. I’ve been eating there for almost my entire life, and we truly love it. The wait for food is never lengthy; it’s always perfectly timed after the appetizers. I highly recommend the Japanese Plum Wine—it's delicious and sweet!
Talk about some of the best Chinese food!!! We ate lunch here and ordered sweet and sour chicken and shrimp, generals chicken and Kung POW triple. Everything tasted amazing. I wanted more but was too stuffed. My kids who we unfortunately raised to be foodies said it was some of the best Chinese food they have ever eaten. Everything was super fresh. Veggies cooked perfectly with a bit of crisp.
Honestly it's not the best or good enough for all the praises from previous reviews. There is a guy coming in and out of the kitchen to reception to pick up order slips from the guy who answers the phone and neither wears a mask. Sure the price is a dollar or two less than the other Chinese food restaurant in Basalt but the taste is just not worth the money and your health.

This place is amazing! Some of the best service I've had at any restaurant, food was stellar and prices were also great! We got the sesame chicken which was DELICIOUS, we also loved the egg drop soup and the herbal tea. Definitely stop in here, you won't regret it!
Delicious food at great prices, with the best lo mein in the valley. The egg drop soup is fantastic, and the crab Rangoons are quite large. They even gave us free cookies!
We absolutely adore this restaurant! The service is exceptional, and the portions are generous! The food is ready in just a few minutes.
