The food was very bland the portions were super small. The margaritas were poorly made although we were charged top dollar for them. $10 for a pint glass filled to the top with ice. Unfortunately the service was also lacking, we were never told about the drink specials for Wednesday which apparently were $4 margaritas, but not the one I ordered! (I heard the other server telling her table). Our server dropped our check off with the food which was strange since we weren't in any hurry. We never saw her after she dropped off our check another server cashed us out. There was only one other table in the dining area besides us, and just a few people in the bar, so no real reason not to give good...
This family-owned restaurant has several locations, and Javi's in Oakdale is our top choice for Mexican cuisine and drinks. The bar area is beautifully decorated in a sports bar style, featuring TVs in every direction and serving delicious micheladas, mules, and, of course, margaritas. I appreciate that they offer locally brewed beers from American companies. Some of our favorites include the fajitas (with a variety of options), street tacos, and steak Ala Mexicana. Service is consistently excellent, largely due to the management of a charming young man who comes from a family of restaurateurs. On our drive back to the Bay Area from Yosemite, we were on the hunt for a delicious breakfast burrito. We found fresh, homemade flour tortillas filled with chorizo cooked to order. My wife chose a ham and egg burrito. Each order comes with two burritos, which are slightly smaller than those at some other places. One order could have easily fed both of us, but I was glad to have two to myself because they were so tasty. The service was excellent, and the restaurant was very clean and welcoming.
Came here during a drive back home. Really stumbled upon this place but we did not regret. We ordered the chili Colorado, pollo con crema, tamale and enchiladas and carne asada plate. All was good and we barely had left overs but we took what had because it was too good to walk away from. I HIGHLY recommend the chicken con crema. It's a new item and it is really tasty. The sauce it's self is super addicting but delicious. My grams tried to get the recipe lol.

We discovered this restaurant while returning from the national park, and we were pleasantly surprised. The sports bar atmosphere was fantastic, and the food was delicious! I absolutely loved their beef fajitas, and I was thrilled that the food was served piping hot! They also have amazing cocktails that are reasonably priced. The flavors are very authentic, and the service was exceptional!
Food was great, the restaurant staff was accommodating to our needs. We needed room for our son in a wheelchair and they moved tables and chairs around to make sure we fit comfortably. That means a lot to me when it comes to service. Would recommend Javi's to anyone who is going to be in Oakdale, Ca. We have been there a few times when we are ever in town (we are from Southern California).
The portions are tiny and the prices are inflated! We ordered two cheese enchilada dinners along with chips and salsa to-go, and it ended up costing over $50. The food is just average at best. We haven't visited Javi's in about 8-10 years because we were unimpressed then, but we decided to give it another shot. We certainly won't be returning.
This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. I've eaten here on many occasions and I have loved it every single time. It is pricey but if you're treating yourself and/or your family, it's 100% worth it.

The food was quite good, and I attended a company event there. They can definitely accommodate large groups, so you won't leave feeling hungry!
Eh... honestly, nothing GREAT about this place. Food is pretty bland. I've had much better Mexican food at the taco trucks.
