I celebrated a private 40th birthday party with 60 people here and let me tell you, everything about this place is awesome!!! Joe (The Owner) was so incredible to work with. Leading up to the party, I had many questions and Joe was willing and able to answer my calls very professionally and in a timely manner. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND for me and for the party. If you're in search of exceptional service and delicious food, Bella Luce is the ideal spot for dinner or a small gathering. Owner Joe went above and beyond in helping us choose dishes that would satisfy everyone while staying within our budget. His honesty and extensive knowledge made a big difference, and he genuinely goes the extra mile for his customers. I also want to highlight John, the head waiter, and Gianna, who manages the restaurant alongside her dad. She's a hardworking and warm young lady who takes her role of overseeing every detail very seriously. At Bella Luce, Joe, Gianna, and John made us feel like family. What more could we ask for?

My wife and I were here last night to book a private event and we had dinner while we were there. The owner was extremely accommodating and a genuine pleasure to deal with and the food was also outstanding!!! We ordered the Spaghetti Siciliano and the Rigatoni Zingara. Both dishes were delicious and nicely portioned. The kids had ravioli and spaghetti with vodka sauce and they both loved it as well. We also tried the Thai ginger calamari which was very tasty and perfectly tender. The staff was also very good and attentive. Great dining experience and we look forward to our next meal here. Highly recommended!!!

The food was genuinely fresh, beautifully plated, and absolutely delicious. I finished every bite. It's been a while since I visited a great restaurant, and I was not disappointed. I ordered two specials: a grilled calamari salad as an appetizer and striped bass for my main course. The wait was quite long, but I'd gladly do it again because these dishes were intricate and incredibly tasty. However, the pendant lights above the tables were overly bright and frustratingly misaligned. I'm already looking forward to my next special night out, as I plan to return here. This is an outstanding authentic Italian restaurant. The pasta dishes were amazing. The fried calamari was out of this world good. The antipasto and meatballs were excellent. The sangria has to be top 3 out of all I've tried around the ironbound section. The tartufo and coffee gelato was amazing. My only suggestion is to have the complimentary bread placed in the oven and served hot to all guests alongside olive oil. I will definitely return and recommend to all of my family and friends.

My husband and I hosted our rehearsal dinner here on March 25, 2022, and everything was wonderful. Joe, the owner, was incredibly accommodating throughout the entire evening, as well as before the event, addressing all of our questions. The food was delicious, and we had a truly memorable time. The drinks were excellent, and Joe even arranged for a DJ to entertain us! With all our love, Victoria and Brandon Moore.

The receptionist was friendly and the food was great too. 4 of us had different meals and all were tasty. The desert was fantastic too. I forget my hat and one of the staff ran out and gave it back as we were leaving in the car. Will be back a little out of our way but everything was spot on. Note we had reservations on Saturday night too. Got there at 6:30 and left at 9:15 all the talking with old friends.

I was curious due to rave reviews this restaurant received. Unfortunately disappointed. For the price range very high for pasta it is not all the hype. I make better pasta at home. The atmosphere is more of trattoria style restaurant so again the prices are not justified. My star rating is average it is not bad just prices too high for a neighborhood Italian restaurant. I was brought here for my bachelor party dinner before heading out for the evening. The food was absolutely amazing. The service was incredible as was the owner coming up and introducing himself and to check on everything. The overall atmosphere was very cozy and inviting and I will definitely be returning!

This is my favorite restaurant in Nutley! Not only is absolutely everything you eat perfect, but the ambiance is immaculate. It's such a beautiful place with the most magical vibe. Going here is such a beautiful experience. I definitely recommend it :
