This used to be our go to place for Italian food in Monrovia. After today we will not be returning. We were there about noon and there was only 2 other patrons. That should have been a sign. We ordered fried calamari which was quite salty, The Cesar salad was just ok. We split the chicken piccata. The chicken was dry and the sauce was very bland. We had to ask for bread. I've been here twice and each time was wonderful! Old town Monrovia is so charming, I'm really happy we've found yet another great restaurant here. First time there was around November 2021, loved it. Second time was yesterday early evening, we celebrated mother's day and my birthday with my husband and my mom. Both time the staff was on point, not a ton of waiting for our order to be taken, drinks, or food. Tonight my wife and I went to the Restaurant ordered food to pick up, we ordered two Lobster reduction sauce with Scallops W/Angel Hair Pasta, which we ordered before, and we showed the image to the waiter. After waiting 20 minutes, we got our food, but no bread included, I asked waiter, the waiter said Sorry, No! , But before included. After we went back home and found the pasta even no any Lobster and a piece of Salmon! Only Scallops!!! It 's getting dark, we can 't go back to the restaurant. After spent over $55 all the food we brought back we can 't eat at all!
I visited Bella Sera for the first time and had a wonderful experience. The bread was warm and flavorful, the wait staff was friendly and professional, and the pasta was fresh and light. I ordered the White Wine Shrimp Pasta and it was delicious. They even surprised me with a delightful tiramisu for my birthday, which was just the right amount of sweetness. I will definitely be returning to try more dishes the next time I visit this area.

This restaurant is a great choice for a meal after a movie. When we arrived with a group of 9, we had to wait 10-15 minutes before being seated, as they only had the option of two round tables placed next to each other. The food was generally good, although the chicken in the salad was a bit dry. The sandwiches and pasta were tasty though! The prices were a bit high for lunch, but understandable considering the current inflation rates.
I was initially hesitant because there were only a few photos of the same dishes, but I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food at this restaurant. Visiting this place is a great choice, as the portion sizes and prices are perfect. I will definitely be returning for more.
Bella Sera is an amazing Italian restaurant . Service was excellent and the food is a step above. I recommend the Crab Cakes and while the pasta and pizza dishes are the go to in an Italian restaurant, the Braised Beef is the gem on this menu.
This was my first time visiting this restaurant with my family for my birthday. My mother had heard great things about it, so we decided to give it a try. We had an amazing experience with Derek, who provided exceptional service.

I have visited this restaurant twice. It is located in the old town of Monrovia, near the theater. When I first went on a Friday around 5pm, I was seated right away without having to wait.
The atmosphere was perfect for celebrating my friend's engagement with his fiancée. Everyone in our party agreed that the food was amazing! My chicken Parmigiana was especially delicious.
