I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Firstly, the chef named Chow spilled oil on my utensils and did not apologize, instead laughing it off and not replacing them. Secondly, I ordered two sets of filet mignon but only received a quarter of the portion. Thirdly, the portions of food were too small and not worth it. Fourthly, I ordered green tea but only received a small cup and never got a refill. Fifthly, I did not order noodles but they were given to me anyway, even though I never ordered them. This restaurant has been around for a long time. We stopped in for a late lunch while in the area and craving Japanese food. It seems like Yamaguchi in Port Washington may only be open for dinner now. We found the service and food to be just okay. The miso and onion soups that come with the sashimi were decent. However, after finishing our meal, we had to wait a long time for our bill, as if they had forgotten about us. Getting their attention was quite difficult. The handheld credit card machine was a nice touch, but we were surprised to see that the tip automatically starts at 18%. I am super disappointed and angry at the dishonest server who took advantage of me using multiple gift cards!I stopped by to celebrate my anniversary last night and used the gift cards I purchased during Xmas last year , the restaurant gave the bonus gift cards only in 10 dollars per card , so I gave her total of 6 bonus cards and one non-expired gift card, I didn’t remember my balance so I told her to check and put the left over amount on my credit card.I totally trusted her and didn’t check cuz we had two kids to attend to. This one has been here for ages. We stopped by for a late lunch when in the area and wanted Japanese (Is Yamaguchi in Port Washington now open for dinner only?)Should have gone else.Service is so so, so is the food. The chef, whose name starts with an R and hails from Bangladesh, was very cheerful and skilled at keeping us entertained with his tricks. He made us feel welcome and the food tasted great, especially when paired with the sauces he provided. However, I wished there were more rice alternatives on the menu. Personally, I would have preferred keto-friendly vegetables like cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and green beans. The waitress offered unlimited soda refills and I enjoyed a refreshing club soda with a hint of passionfruit syrup. It was delicious.

I have been going to Benihana for over 20 years! Other Hibitchi establishment just di not compare! Service, hospitality are high on the list of things that keeps me coming back. My Grandson was just turning 18 and lives in Vermont. They have a place called KOTO Hibitchi....it doesn't compare! This was his first time at Benihana. I think he's hooked in a good way! Thank you

I went to Manhasset Benihana and I had the greatest time of my life. The people around me were friendly and that’s a great way to meet new people. The Chef was fantastic, gave us a great and funny performance. The food fresh and it was absolutely delicious The portions were huge. The place was really clean. I definitely recommend it.

Absolutely enjoyed this dining experience. The host was pleasant and prompt at seating my guest and I with a smile. Not only was the food good but the chef entertained us by making the rice into the shape of a heart ????. We had pork dumplings, lobster,shrimp and steak. Great food and atmosphere. Not going to lie the fried rice is like crack in a bowl. Amazing! I also had the hibachi chateaubriand and it was mouthwatering. The meat was super tender and juicy. The service overall was great. No complaints!

Although the cuisine is dynamite. We had to wait an awful long time to be served.Hibachi Tuna Steak cooked to perfection with Jasmine Rice and veggies.
