I live in downtown St. Pete, and having a quick, convenient, and relatively affordable place to grab a hearty meal is always a plus. Bento is exactly that. Is the food traditional Japanese or Chinese cuisine? Not really. But you do get a freshly prepared, hot bowl of quality food in no time. Strangely enough, I always order the same thing here: General Tso's chicken over white rice—I'm not a fan of brown rice, and I have my reservations about trying sushi here. I've never tried their sushi, so I can't judge it properly, but it doesn't seem like the kind of sushi place I would enjoy. the Bento portion is generous and eating is tasty, not the best, but for fast eating, can not expect much. they also have other points that are equally decent for the price. update: dine in is available and some tabs are marked, not use for social distancing. the place is clean and no bathroom use for cleanliness ground. Soda machine is not available from the same reason. I have the special for bowls and eating is delicious. but I mixed my order. they are busy with the trip and could be the reason. service is very good. update: 10/22 only found the special from the website. price for 4 participants. depreciation
There are many factors warranted the low rating. First, there was dry hard pieces of rice within white rice. This suggest the rice has been made for sometime and not fresh. Second, the lo main is over cook. The noodles are too mushy. Next, the green beans were cold. Lastly, the portion size is very small. The amount of lo main and green bean is laughable. I have checkout other pictures on Google, and my portion is smaller than those pictures. The overall flavor is decent. I wouldn’t come back. The manager did refund me after I spoke with her. That was really nice.
This place has become a joke. When we first moved here a year and a half ago this place was amazing. I believe because of bad management and lack of staff they?ve basically become a laughing stock of DTSP. Ordered the rainbow roll and Katsu chicken tonight and half the breading was coming off the chicken, and my sushi looked like some half chewed it. If you can?t be great just close. Do us a favor. Won?t be eating there again.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The interior was well designed, clean and very welcoming. Unfortunately I expected a restaurant and that was more of a fast food place. The Udon Noodle soup ordered with shrimp and chicken. The meats were baked and fried deep, not cooked in soup. The spoon was too small to eat the soup. Asked for larger spoon, but not available. Maybe the bowls or the stirring frit would be more attractive.
I have eaten here twice now and each time it has been nothing but disappointing! The food just doesn't taste fresh. It's more like a fast food place. The sauce tastes canned/bottled and so artificial. The tofu was so deep fried and hard, both times, no wonder why my friend who ate here hates tofu. If you like fast food/panda express Asian food, you might like this. Definitely not for me.
This was once one of our favorite places to stop by on a trip to downtown St. Pete. Unfortunately the quality, availability and service has declined. Each time they are out of several ingredients not available. This time it was cream cheese. The speed of preparing orders has doubled maybe even tripled. Not sure if I will return or not at this point.
This was my first time trying a Pokebowl, and it was fantastic! The service was friendly, and they offered helpful recommendations for a first-timer like me. The place was very clean and well-lit, creating a pleasant and calm atmosphere. I can't wait to return and sample the noodles next time!
