By car, you travel over several mountain ranches until at the end of the road you find the Bergrestaurant Erika (Mountain-Restaurant & Hotel Erika). Here you find typical meals from the area of the Emmental with big portions. This is not an easy place to get to (quit a drive up the small roads), but when you get there it is totally worth it. Located in the middle of nowhere on top of a hill, with nice views of the mountains around. Food is great, they have quite a varied menu, I went for the rösti with ham and egg, really tasty. Note: they don’t accept credit cards so bring cash!
