Nach einer anstrengenden Schneewanderung (Bushaltestelle Tunnel Passwang 1025m Vorder Erzberg 1070m) waren wir heilfroh nach einem happigen Anstieg endlich am Ziel angekommen zu sein. Wir wurden sehr freundlich von der aushelfenden Nachbarin der Besitzer begrüsst, fanden einen gemütlichen Holztisch und konnten uns anschliessend an feinstem Bündnerfleisch vom Angusrind, Wahnsinnskäseschnitte und Steak vom Angus erfreuen. Auch das Käseplättli war ein Schmaus. Die Rösti hätte ich gerne richtig knusprig rund gebacken gehabt. Aber sie war ok. Dazu tranken wir einen Grenzgänger Pinot noir aus Biel Benken. Eine Entdeckung, weil sensationell fruchtig. Diese Gegend zu erkunden (auch im Sommer) lohnt...
after a strenuous snow hike (bus stop tunnel passwang 1025m - in front of erzberg 1070m) we were happy to have arrived at the destination after a happy start. we were greeted very kindly by the helping neighbour of the owners, found a cozy wooden table and were then able to delight us with the finest meat from the angusrind, honey-casses and steak from the angus. also the keseplättli was a tasty one. the rösti would have liked to have really crispy round baked. but she was okay. we drank a border pinot noir from Biel-Benken. a discovery because sensational frustrating. to explore this opposite (also in summer) is worthwhile and to return to this mountain restaurant anyway.
Apparently there are two prices for a drink depending on whether it is consumed indoors or outdoors. Reason inside is the service and the glass. So far so good! But then trying to charge the higher price even though you neither provided the service nor added a glass is not possible! When we came in we were asked to take our own drinks and sit outside. After a short discussion with the farmer's wife, the price was granted from outside but only reluctantly. Sorry but there is only one star for service! excellent eating at toplage in jura at over 1000m height. simple menu with typical Swiss dresses such as cheese cuts, slices etc. drinks are served in an open-sealing to 2.3 and 5dl. ascended at point of view high winds in 20min possible. parking space for cars available

the burger with meat from the angus bark is very tasty but also the midday menu was very good. the service is very friendly, the prices very discounted.
Nice view, good food and friendly staff. What more do you want? (A bit a lot of flies, but that's normal near the farm....
