Basado en su reputación, hicimos un viaje especial a Berta y no nos decepcionó.

¡Hubo mucha variedad en el menú, tan difícil de elegir! Optamos por los hongos miso y la papilla. Ambos fueron excepcionados. La papilla tenía una hermosa colección de sabores y texturas, gracias a la recarga de clavos y la fruta de turba. Los hongos estaban lejos del precio estándar, con el miso agregando un golpe de Umami y otra capa sexual. El café era excelente.

Cafe has good reviews however my family including my extended family went on a holiday to Tasmania & had the worse experience. This was our first stop to begin our holiday. We were kept waiting at the back table outside in the cold with an infant, elderly and a child (who were restless, tired and hungry after a long flight from Melbourne) over 25mins to be told that they were too busy to take our order. We finally walk out and had breakfast at a lovely local bakery called "ZUM". Even if Berta was good, this experience ruined my impression and would NEVER recommend anyone. VERY ANGRY AND DISAPPOINTED
Stodgy food, very heavy on eggs. Went for late lunch (1.20pm) after various delays - the first shock was asking for the wine list (at our last visit there was a list of 6 or so wines chalked up on the board) and was told ONE white wine by the glass (Milton Pinot gris - very mediocre). Too late to go anywhere else - the venison ragu was acceptable, the fishcakes dry and boring and the side dish of "crispy potatoes" was anything but, basically wedges which were yellow and soft. Will not be returning, at $78 for 2 dishes and 2 glasses of wine never again
Food was good and flavoursome but unfortunately the worst service EVER. Waited 10 mins for a menu and water, coffees took 30 mins to arrive. Granted it was a Sunday morning, had to ask twice for water. Wrong food was delivered. Waiters complaining about customers hanging around after meals - what ever happened to the customer is always right? No apology of the inconvenience it caused us. Awful service well and truly has turned us off returning.

First decent coffee in Tasmania this visit.Charming little cafe, walked in to see people waiting for a table ... always a good sign. I had the French toasted brioche, with strawberries, pistachios and whipped ricotta..heaven... my daughter had the corn fritters, only complaint was they were a bit greasy due to being deep fried not pan fried but she still found her meal to be very tasty. Would definitely visit again.

El personal siempre fue súper amable, la comida era deliciosa y es genial cuando te sientas en las cabinas de la ventana. ¡Ojalá nos quitemos una cafetería como esta casa!
Buena comida, agradable para el desayuno, el brunch o el almuerzo. Hermoso café y chai, puedes decir que realmente tienes una pasión por la comida y el café. Siempre una experiencia encantadora
Me encantó el tamaño de las tazas de café, solo eso más grande de lo normal. El café era genial y la comida tan interesante! Mucho sucediendo en el plato, pero todavía cobró menos.

Yuuuum! We loved Berta. We waited for a seat on a busy Sunday morning and so glad we did. Best brekky we could find in Hobart - seriously Yum! Corn fritters 10/10. Thanks Berta.
Always our top choice for brunch. The Hash is to die for. I love the chai lattes - best in town. Definitely recommend
