My husband and I ordered a pizza from here that came out literally undercooked with stretchy dough. We let the server know that the dough was raw and stretchy, and instead of remaking it or removing it from the bill or even just cooking it for a little longer. Instead of that, the chef walked out from the back to our table to gaslight us! The chef told us that the dough was not undercooked in fact the stretchy dough was just cheese. And even after I showed him the raw dough that was clearly a part of the crust, he still insisted that it was cheese. Then he said that since we cannot tell the difference between thick crust and raw dough (crazy I know) he will make us a thin crust pizza instead...
After closing of jersey city bertucci, I was really looking forward to it. It took 45 mins to reach here from Residence Inn but it was complete disappointment.Food took forever to come and when it came, it was cold and soggy.Waiter was least interested as he was serving almost all the table by himself.When I complained abt mozzarella frita, he said I didnt make it. When I asked him to let the chef know, he said he speaks spanish and I speak english. I feel the whole restaurant was busy serving take away order as no one was interested what is going on inside.Restaurant is highly under staff with no quality chef.Complete waste of money. Literally worst dining experience I 've ever had. Should have know when we walked in and the restaurant was empty. Was greeted by a rude woman, was not lead to a table, Literally said second booth near the window did not tell us her name, came over and said are you going to tell me what you want? We have a party coming in soon so I want to get your order in before they get here ordered our food and it was legit disgusting, bland, over cooked pasta. The fire alarms went off cause they shut the vents off in the kitchen which they are not allowed to do during business hours so cold in there I could see my breath not even being dramatic . Just avoid the location called ahead to see what time they where going to stop sitting guest was told 9.30, got there at 9 and had to argue with the waitress about being seated,They where out of tap beer and cocktails , and had only a limited variety of bottle and wine , and service wasn’t the fastestCan kinda see why the chain is struggling as a whole

Service was quite poor although there were only 3 or 4 tables with customers. The pizza base felt dry and not chewy. The rolls were good. We had to ask for dinner plates the wait staff assumed that the small plate for the appetizer and roll should be sufficient. The server never came back to check or to ask if we needed anything else.
I came here with a small group of friends for dinner. The food portions were really large and tasted pretty decent. The chicken parm and spaghetti was amazing, though the meatballs were average. Service was a bit slow, but overall a nice place for Italian food, and they have little bread buns to start you with.
I made a reservation for 7:30 PM. We were asked to write down our order on a piece of paper for the waitress. By 9:00 PM, we still hadn't received our food, so I had to inquire about its status. We requested separate checks, but the bill arrived as a single check, and the waitress struggled to separate them.
This Bertucci’s atmosphere is warm, the food is delicious and the service was great. Thank you to the Host/ Manager ,Danny, and our server, Kiara, for being attentive and friendly and making my Birthday dinner a superb experience this evening!

If you go there, be sure to ask for Lucy at the bar. She always goes out of her way to take care of my wife and me. She's been with the restaurant for years, just like we have, and we love many of the dishes on the menu as well.
