Very tasty and cosy little afternoon tea cafe. It was a birthday treat and will be fondly remembered. The cakes, sandwiches and scones were all very tasty and well made. We had champagne as well and the staff brought over some free chocolates and a lit birthday candle to celebrate the occasion. They have a good range of teas and you can buy any as loose leaf to take home with you. Friendly and helpful staff. Would visit again.
Absolutely loved our visit, to Bessie's Tea Parlour yesterday. The waitress was brilliant and the tea's are outstanding, my other half loved the Kentish Ale tea and I liked the Oolang and the Vanilla Chai. They completed our afternoon tea very well. We live in Broadstairs and never knew this place existed, needless to say, we will be paying other visits, to this Tea Parlour.
Ended up in Broadstairs on a day out with the kids, looked up best places to eat on tripadvisor and came across this place. It was excellent. I had a Beforenoon tea which was like a brunch type thing. Wife had afternoon tea and son had child’s afternoon tea. All very good and generous.
Well I was surprised by this place. Been there 6 years and I have never been in. Wish I had done once I tasted some of there homemade cakes. Do a great choice for a small place. Very nice, the friendly staff had our table all laid out ready (we'd pre booked) and the selection of teas was amazing. We had the cream tea and all the different cakes and sandwiches were delicious, thank you for a lovely treat and service.
Great spot for grabbing a bit and avoiding the local crowds. I had a crab sandwich, sconesC and tea. Everything was really nice and the staff were very helpful.
I went with my daughter today. It was lovely. The waitress was happy and polite and the afternoon tea was delicious. Highly recommend
