"Really enjoyed my full English breakfast which, with a freshly made flat white, was great value for about a tenner. Nice table cloth, too."

We pre-booked in for afternoon tea for Mothers Day. Turned up for our 2:30 booking, waited an hour and 20 minutes for a sandwich, scone and slice of cake each. Considering we, and everyone else in there, had pre-booked the owner knew exactly what they had set up for the day. The seats and tables were crammed in together like sardines in a tin. No space for the poor waitresses to get around the tables, no allowances made by the owner for his customers OR staff! Not to mention the crazy heat created by all these people in a tiny room, uncomfortable and unacceptable. The wait is one thing, but the owner saw NO issue with his greediness and poor planning. When we complained he thought it was per...

Booked for Mothers Day Afternoon Tea, and what an absolute delight it was. We arrived to a warm, friendly welcome. It was busy, but that's what you expect for mothers day and it was lovely to see so many others enjoying themselves. We were not rushed in any way and the sandwiches were made to order and were fresh, not pre prepared and left to go stale. The wait enabled us to enjoy the time we had with each other and when the food came out we were not disappointed. It was delicious, fresh and tasty. The scones were still warm and the cakes delicious and with a bottomless teapot, it was really great value. The staff although very busy, still took time to chat, smile and provide excellent servi...

I went to this tea room on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch and was disappointed. The place was pretty, but the woman who asked us to sit at a table (not sure if she was the owner or manager) was not welcoming and very rude. We ordered brie, bacon, and cranberry toasties, which came with a sad excuse for a salad and a few crisps. The portions were small and the toasties were soggy. The ladies' toilet was also unpleasant. The whole experience cost £7.50, and I believe the establishment should be embarrassed. They need to improve their food portions and service. A smile goes a long way in the hospitality industry, and if you can't be pleasant to customers, you shouldn't be working in the...

First time spending Mothers Day here, and what a lovely tea. It was a really busy day but all the food was freshly prepared the scones were straight from the oven and the tea was really filling. Lovely round of fresh sandwiches accompanied by layers of treats including cakes at the top tier and a really nicely paced day. No rush for us which was nice and good value. Mum also had a lovely time. Thanks for a lovely day and all your hard work. Reserva una mesa ahora

After a 7-8 mile hike, I stopped in for a ploughman's lunch at this restaurant. I had seen the menu in the summer, but had already eaten elsewhere and just had a coffee outside. The ploughman's lunch was the best I've ever had, with so much food on the plate, a warm roll with butter, and apple chutney on the side plate. All of the ingredients were of good quality and it was definitely worth every penny. The staff were lovely and friendly.

£4.50 for buttered scone seems high to me.(2.50 for coffee fine . Asked for bill. Card machine brought to me and told total. Asked for till bill. Was told might not be possible. Was given bill with total sum only. Queried price (not welcome and was told scone/coffee was priced as a ‘cream tea’. (Scones, a common purchase in a tea room, not priced on menu.

If you love a good cream tea, this is the perfect place to visit. The scones are delicious with clotted cream and jam, and they serve a generous pot of hot tea.
