Beyeler In The Park

Went for a few wines and a cheese board after visiting the gallery. Small but nice and considered menu, and the ambience was very nice. Cosy but light and bright. When we went to leave I was shocked and stressed to find that my winter coat had been taken from the communal coat area. BUT we spoke with one of the ladies who worked there and she was very sweet and attentive. Understood why I was worried and then escorted us back to the main gallery to go look in the main coat area, where thankfully we found it (no love to the person who just ditched it there!! I didn’t catch the girls name but I wanted to extend thanks because she treated me and the situation really well. Thank you!

We were at the restaurant Beyeler to enjoy the concert on the terrace organized in the park of the foundation of the same name every Wednesday in August. We took advantage of the bar from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., various cocktails with or without alcohol are offered, regional beers, etc., etc., as well as excellent tartes flambées and charcuterie/cheese platters. Served directly at the bar outside. Soothing, relaxing atmosphere, room staff is available and smiling. I recommend with eyes closed.

It's a special place in Riehen. Awesome Flammkuchen and salads. The views and sunsets are great! I love the well maintained garden, especially the tall trees. I also love the artsy crowd from all over the world that enriches my stay at the restaurant, even though I don't know jack about art. Despite that i feel very welcomed at the restaurant and it's also great for kids to play hide and seek among the trees.

Good light lunch next to the museum. But on the weekend so long we had to wait to get a menu. After lunch we wanted to have coffee. But not enough staffs to serve there. We asked 2 staffs to get order. They say: wait please.. 20 Minutes later we decided to go another place to have a coffee. They need more staffs definitely on the weekend Reserva una mesa ahora

Excellent food. Well cooked and well presented. The only negative thing is that the portions are modest relative to the price. You may want to take a first course (salad/soup) and a main course. Otherwise, you may walk out still hungry. The choice on the menu is limited but almost everyone will find something that would be suitable.

The Beyeler restaurant is located in the park of the Fondation Beyeler art museum. In the summer, there are tables behind the restaurant with a great view of the park. The restaurant serve a range of dishes (including vegetarian options) and desserts.

Nice cakes ... sounds like home made ... and as we could see, they prepare Picknick packages including a blanket... perfectly now to enjoy the calming park in-between exhibitions. It's pure slow down environment these times...
