My family and I discovered this hidden gem during a spontaneous outing. While it is a bit pricier, the atmosphere is fantastic. We ended up ordering too much food, as the portions were quite large. We tried the Cheeseburger, which my partner absolutely loved and found very filling. The Big M burger was also delicious and filling, but without cheese. I, now, order the veggie burger, which is really, really good, as I no longer eat meat or dairy, but, I still remember how delicious their proteins were. Local gem! Old fashioned style diner food with hard working staff and delicious eats! It took a little while to receive our food but as the sign on the door says, 'it takes 8 minutes to cook a burger '. I was happy to wait and see them grilling my burger fresh for me. The wait was worth it! Food was tasty and fresh, onion rings obviously made in house and so crispy! Great place! My family is so happy we trusted the stellar reviews and tried this place while we were in town. Only suggestion for improvement would be to add a little flavour to the onion rings and fries a little on the bland side. Thanks, Big M Team! Great dinner

If you’re a dinner lover, as I am, I would HIGHLY recommend you to come and visit this place. The Classic old style dinner! We ordered the cheese burger combo (burger fries Soda), it’s was just perfect. The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality you get. We’ll definitely come back and recommend this place to our friends.

Been coming here for years. In the summer time we would pick up burgers and fries and sit at the lake and eat them . Chris is there most every days, and always has a cheerful conversation going on with who ever comes in. Steak on the bun is the specialty, but everything is good there.

The burger and fries were delicious! The restaurant was quite busy on a Saturday night. The staff was friendly and nice. We would definitely return if we are in the area again. It's easy to see why it's a local favorite!

Fantastic food, best in Pickering. Chris and the staff will keep you laughing and the food will put a smile on your face. Highly recommended. Try the sweet potatoe fries for a pleasant change.

Best onion rings in town! Lots of great comfort food: such a great little iconic restaurant. Lots of parking. Lots of History to this little restaurant. Close to the lake.
