Big Momma's Soul Food

This restaurant does have great food. We tried what everyone suggested, chicken roti and the jerk chicken dinner. Both were delicious, but I ordered the larger size jerk chicken, and I don 't believe it would have satisfied a man 's appetite. My husband 's roti was large enough, and very flavourful. Coleslaw came with the jerk chicken but not the roti. You can pay $2 if you want some coleslaw...it was very good too. As everyone mentioned it isn 't fancy, but it is comfortable. They have a good variety of cold beer which helps cool down your mouth (jerk chicken is spicy in a good way). Glad they moved from their old place, as this new location is far more visible.

I love Big Momma's Soul Food, I have tried other Jerk Chicken, but none compare. I must add that the restaurant has moved, it now fronts onto Barrie Street in Bradford. A much nicer building. I recommend the Jerk Chicken with extra sauce on the rice, but the curry is also excellent. It's also nice to sit on the patio enjoying your dinner with a nice beer or coconut water. :

I visit Big Momma's for takeout and have a brew while I wait. Their Ox Tail, Jerk Chicken and Their doubles are outstanding. Never can get enough of their collards and rice too. They have a full service restaurant also to experience. Cutomer service great. This is a cash business so make sure you bring cash with ya.

We had an excellent lunch with friends today. Everyone loved their Jerk Chicken, Jerk Pork and Curry Chicken.The server was super friendly and helpful. He even provided some plates and knife for birthday cake.Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a delicious jerk meal!

I've ate at all the Caribbean restaurants in the surrounding area and this one is the best! I ordered the Jerk Chicken which was great mix of flavor,spices and good heat. My g/f ordered the chicken roti which was also very good. We'll definitely be coming back soon!
