Big Moo Ice Cream Parlour

We ordered a spicy cowboy burger and an order of fish and chips to go. The cashier that took our order was friendly. We returned about minutes later to find our order in a large brown bag awaiting our arrival. The burger was tasty,...messy to eat and not spicy at all which was a tad disappointing as it’s spicy is in its name. The fish and chips were also good, the fish average and the chips really good. For take out food, it was pretty good and we would eat at Big Moos again. Unfortunately, the staff failed to supply cutlery, napkins or ketchup in the take out bag which was surprising as they advertise take out and all the take out we’ve had lately is always well equipped with the essentials...

mai waits in a long line while mai long weekends, which is expected in view of the Covid restrictions. many of the choices of hard ice cream, there are a few hard frozen yogurt aromas, other cold tasty, cotton sweets and hot eating. we have paid for our order, then a series of lines were shown, where they put together their order when they counter to this. Once we came to this counter, we learned that they did not have the type of frozen yogurt we ordered, they would think it had been crossed from the menu on the wall if it were not available. We decided to stop in for the first time around Christmas near closing time. Son had a coffee he says was the best he ever had. It wasn't bitter when it was black and he was so impressed. I had a sundae and it was...really awesome. I thought I had tasted every flavor of vanilla but the vanilla ice cream in my Turtle Brownie Sundae was really a great new flavor of vanilla which complimented the brownie and toffee flavors perfectly. My husband had two scoops of ice cream both of which were delicious, from their tubs of many flavors of ice cream. Looks like a new place we will return to when it is time for a treat. I can’t believe people rave about this place... the man that owns it is a terrible business owner, he has a monopoly on ice cream and no one on lakeshore drive is “allowed” to sell ice cream but him. Ya there’s lots of flavours but...it just comes from the foothill creamery, doesn’t even make it himself. The fudge is dry and over priced, the chocolate is the lowest grade of chocolate out there but charges gourmet prices. The staff was rude and didn’t even say hi when we walked up to the till, also got my order wrong and over charged me for the cone. The kid scooping ice cream was pleasant and that was literally the only good this about this place. My advice....go to Dairy Queen, the staff is...

the big moo is definitiw a sylvan lake institution, but the prices will be out of control. there are other places that they can get similar ice for about half the price or less. good atmosphere, service and location, but easy too expensive for...Family

Our granddaughter loved the ice cream in a bowl. We found it very pricey, and the server was not very friendly. He never once smiled, and really didn’t seem to enjoy his job at all.
