Came here on 2 separate occasions for lunch. Once right at 12 and once around 1. The first time I wasn't told an estimated wait time for my sandwich but I ended up waiting approx 18 mins. The second time I was told it would be a 10 min wait which turned into 23 mins. I understand it's the lunch rush but that's ridiculous. A lot of customers looked frustrated. The guy in front of me told the manager he waited 22 min and the manager said sorry of course but that's possibly another lost customer. It literally takes 1 min to slap a sandwich together so what frustrates me and I'm sure other customers are the sandwich makers working at a snails pace and talking too much. Walk in sandwich place that got a lot of publicity when Liam Neeson was in New West filming something and they put a note on their sandwich board offering him a free sandwich. He came by for a pic, hold the sandwich. I dropped in on a Sunday for their corned beef. It was good. The bread was soft and chewy. Yum. Enjoyed it. Lots of mustard. More grainy mustard would have been even better. What else can I say? Love pickles. It's a sandwich. I have to go back to try it on rye. They'd run out of rye because of the Food Cart festival the night before.

I had driven past Big Star Sandwich Co. a few times and was very excited to try it out but when my husband and I finally tried it we were both underwhelmed and unsatisfied. The bread and turkey was very fresh but just lacked taste.
