Big Tom's Backyard Grill

We got to Big Tom's relatively early for dinner and were seated right away. We hadn't been seated for more than a couple of minutes before a very pleasant server showed up to take our drink orders. The menu was bigger than we had expected, but not sobig as to be overwhelming. I ordered the poutine with the fried green tomato side and my husband ordered the burger. We've hadfried green tomatoes many times over the years from many different places. These were hands down the best we've ever had. Theyweren't bitter and were cooked perfectly. This was my third visit to this restaurant and it finally lived up to my expectations. They had a special burger on the menu called the Smash Burger, which is now one of my top 5 favorite burgers of all time. I was truly impressed. It was priced at $15, which is average, but definitely worth it. The side of fried okra was generous and delicious. The service was decent, the server seemed to be new and still learning. Overall, we will definitely be returning again in the future.

I had heard that this restaurant had undergone a dramatic transformation a few years ago, so I decided to try it out for the first time. I ordered the Philly sandwich with spicy potato salad. The sandwich was hot and delicious, filled with meat, peppers, onions, and just the perfect amount of Dukes mayo. The potato salad had a nice kick to it with red pepper and jalapeño. Logan provided excellent service. I will definitely be returning and recommend that you do too!

Had a few cocktails and got food to go. I guess it depends on the bartender but my drinks weren't great considering the price. My waitress, Melissa.. She was great, attentive and patient(there's allot to choose from)! Food was subpar.... Although I ordered catfish to go, so prob a mistake on my part.... Mac and cheese was basic and a bit overdone, hubby's sandwich was..meh. next time we'll eat in! Reserva una mesa ahora

There is much room for improvement in the food quality at this restaurant. The burger was possibly the worst in town. The fries were limp and cold, likely made the night before. It was a very disappointing experience. This establishment seems more focused on serving drinks than serving food. Rating: 2 out of 5 for food.

Our family absolutely LOVED our experience there!!! Our waitress (who was of Asian descent but we couldn't remember her name unfortunately) was EXCEPTIONAL with her service and the food was PHENOMENAL!!! We'll definitely recommend this restaurant to any everyone we know!!!Food: 5/5

Accommodated a ball team with families of 25+ within an hours notice ON A FRIDAY NIGHT. We were able to celebrate a birthday with live music and a last night of being a softball family. Servers were wonderful and even Big Tom came in at the end to lend a hand.Food: 3/5

This restaurant is a hidden gem off the main road. The wait staff is outstanding and you might even be lucky enough to hear Big Tom singing a Johnny Cash song with the live entertainment. The food is amazing and the portions are generous. Reserva una mesa ahora
