I drove to the restaurant, which was a bit challenging, especially since it started pouring rain and I took several wrong turns. After finally parking, I was anxious we might need a reservation given how crowded this place seemed in photos. Although we arrived late due to the rain, the staff was very accommodating. So I am impressed. Why? Because this place exists in Altoona. As someone who used to venture to Altoona as a form of escape from college nearby there were never any memorable food places to eat let alone unique culinary experiences in the area But coming back, I'm pleasantly surprised that Altoona is trying and there are people willing to make restaurants like this happen to help expose everyone to different foods/experiences. The vibe IS a bit off in my opinion as it comes off as stuffy and upscale almost borderline gaudy with the red walls. In the course of a month, we've been here twice and plan to go back next weekend. Does that say enough? In terms of the overall options in Altoona, this is a bonafide star... but it'd also be a star in bigger cities as well, which is why we love it. A really wide variety of seafood options. Our favorites are the crab cakes, salmon, sea bass, and ravioli. Each dish is crafted with a unique flavor profile and the addition of fresh fruits (like mango with the sea bass) and vegetables (crisp, flavorful green beans with the crab cakes). The remoulade with the crab cakes is amaaazing! We can't wait to try dessert the next time we go!

I have eaten dinner here several times and I have to say I am just not impressed. The menu is limited with about a dozen entree choices. The food seems overpriced for what you get.. You can expect to drop about $100 on dinner for two if you include appetizers, salad, entree, and desert. Add drinks and you have a hefty bill. I'd say the quality of the food is decent, certainly better than average. The place never has been crowded. Finally got to try it while visiting home. I had high expectations and they delivered! Our table had the Crab dip and bisque, Beef Brisket, Stuff Flounder, Pork Tenderloin and all were great! The glazes and sauces on each were awesome.

Never would have though I could find a decent restaurant in Altoona. This is a gem I am surprised it was. It packed. The sushi small Plate was to die for. It was perfectly executed. I'll definitely visit here again when I am in town.

If I could rate higher than five stars, I would. Excellent dinner, excellent drinks, and attentive staff. Worth the money! We will be back again.
