Birmingham's Vodka & Ale House

We were stopping in Regina on a road trip across Canada and I had picked up a groupon for Birmingham after quickly perusing their menu online and seeing quite a few interesting food options. I had anticipated ordering take-out as we had two kids with us in a hotel room nearby. When phoning the restaurant to place the order, I discovered they don't allow groupon use for takeout orders. This is understandable, but wasn't noted on the groupon conditions as I had checked before purchasing it. After talking to Shaun, the manager, he was sympathetic to my inability to be able to use the groupon at a different time and graciously made an exception to their policy. I am glad he did as we were very happy with our selection of appetizers that certainly ranked above your typical pub fare. We particularly enjoyed the Ahi Tuna Tacos, Stuffed Yorkies, and Lobster Fritters. I grabbed a nice frosty pint of their house red ale while waiting for my order and took note of the modern design and upbeat atmosphere of the pub. Plenty of TVs on which to watch an assortment of sports without the sports viewing dominating the ambience to the point that any patrons not interested in sports would feel out of place. Seemed like a great place to hang out and grab some grub. If I ever find myself in Regina sans kids, I will return.

Good food (i had the deconstructed cordon bleu) but the steak sandwich (my hubby's order which he willingly shared to me hahaha) was superb! I will definitely go back for that! Tonight wasn't busy so I'm not sure if servers are always that attentive but they are warm and friendly. We requested to have one of the shows in the tv changed to basketball (GSW vs SAP) and they granted it without hesitation. So accommodating!Totally enjoyed our night

Went in for lunch, options are average at best, and over priced. It was already very pricey and then I was charged extra for Mozza cheese on my chicken burger, (which I did not order), and also extra charge for dip for my sweet potato fries, which normally comes with the meal at other restaurants.

The burger selection is too notch at Birminghams. There is a good selection of drinks and includes tables that have their own draught taps at the table Service is good and the overall product is done well.

A typical sports style bar / restaurant with many tv's. Service was good and server was friendly. Food was tasty and hot. Would probably stop here again.
