Was interested to sample the Luke Benchmark replacement in Sylvania and as lovers of everything French, we were expecting a real treat for our anniversary. Unfortunately this Bistro did not live up to our expectations. The two wait staff were obviously inexperienced, unable to pronounce the French foods on the menu correctly, didn't send through our sides order to the kitchen so they didn't arrive and served the coffee well before the desserts. Also I should mention the starter came after the entree and our wine was poured when we had only had a sip of our aperitif. My Wife and I visited last night, we were not aware this Restaurant had opened in Sylvania, and were delighted to find something different !We went the whole hog, and enjoyed 3 Courses.The Lobster and Cheese Souffle was very tasty as was the Chicken Pate. The Steak as a main was excellent and cooked perfectly, but the Chicken Coq au Vin could probably have had less clutter on the Plate, the Chicken itself was excellent as was the Garlic Mash.Sweets were also very good, the Peach Tart Tatin was very Peach, but the Peaches themselves tasted brilliant.Wine List could do with some tweaks, there really should be some Hunter Chardonnays and Shiraz, these varieties are Classics from this region.Bot...
The Bistro is a lovely Restaurant with a tasteful decor, modern & comfortable interior with great food & good service.Great food prepared by a very talented Chef. A good variety of dishes and a good wine list as well as delish cocktails.The Owner and Chef offers diners a great experance, lovely food with some tantalizing dishes. The Lobster souffle to the Scallops in the half shell and the slow cooked ribs are just some of the mouthwatering offerings.We have enjoyed the Bistro many times and have brought many Family and Friends back there. Had really wanted to try here for a while and so glad we did. The menu was varied and tempting with something for everyone. Each course was beautiful with excellent fresh ingredients that complimented each other. Nothing was left on our plates! It was midweek and very quiet which was a shame as they certainly deserve more custom for the quality food. Service was great.As expected the prices were on the higher side but were fair for the wonderful food that we received. I hope they continue to succeed and we will certainly be back.

We went to this restaurant in the first few weeks of opening. They have some service kinks to iron out. The service was quite bad. The waitresses were very very pleasant but did not seem to know what they were doing.The food was nice but not anything to rave about.You can't BYO Thursday, Friday or Saturday and there really wasn't any wine that I liked, so I guess that will keep us away. I think the décor is supposed to be French, but it is mostly just bright white.We will try again in a few months to see if it has improved.
The decor is lovely and a bit noisy as no soft furnishings. There was No scampi left on a Friday night at 7pm. Waitress was lovely but I think she was new. Ran out wine we chose and served the duck in a bowl which makes it hard to eat. Fillet was perfectly cooked but placed on top off the beautiful colourful vegetables and asked for a jus instead of the mushroom sauce but ended up with an oily slick. We won't rush back.
What a great night out! Staff very helpful and nice, and food was to die for. A party of 6 and everyone enjoyed! Next time you're looking for some great French food come here and you won't be disappointed. ????????????
