The five of us met in Montreal to begin to know Quebec and to trace our several families in the amazing archives in the small towns nearby. After a morning walking in the beautiful town of La Prairie and poking about in the historic churches,...houses, and libraries, we were famished. Le Bistro Alsacien was handy and so inviting. We passed through a stone-paved side alley into a lovely small garden where the owners have set up a dozen tables on a shady terrace. The restaurant was well attended with people who seemed to be local and who were very friendly. We five chose delicious soups, pastas, salads, pizza, accompanied by local and Alsacian beers. The service was excellent. Our appetizers a...

We had dinner at this restaurant for the first time for a birthday. We wanted to have Alsacian/french food. One of the owners was present and he was very nice and had time to make nice conversation since there weren't many people that night, which...was all to our benefit : The caesar salad was quite good and crunchy. Looks like the choucroute was very good too as mentioned by the person who ordered this dish. The Flammekûeche sort of a very thin crust pizza without the cheese was quite good for the first few bites but it's too oily and you quickly get gorged. The Kougelopf, sort of a very light muffin is ok, but as a dessert? Not sure... Not quite disappointed but not really enthusiastic ei...

We just moved to La Prairie from Toronto. How cool is it to live in a town that will be celebrating years in That was the terminus of the FIRST railroad in Canada. And this little bistro, owned by an Alsacian who fell...in love with the old town, is just lovely. Good food with good portions in lovely setting with very caring hosts what more can one ask for? With Christmas lights across the quiet road, with brick and wood surroundings dating betwen and years, and a silent snow falling while we sit by the windows and enjoy our great meal....just a perfect meal after moving here a week ago. Highly recommended!

We received a warm welcome from the owners and decided to sit at a table on the terrace in the quaint courtyard. Despite a tree obstructing our view, the food was outstanding and the service was top-notch. We never felt rushed and there was a nice interval between courses. The prices were reasonable, especially considering we enjoyed a bottle of wine. Overall, it was a very enjoyable evening.

I recently visited Bistro L'Alsacien for the first time and was incredibly impressed. The charming terrace, adorned with flowers, set a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast I enjoyed was both delicious and generous, and the prices were very reasonable. I was thrilled to find such a lovely spot with top-quality food, and I definitely plan on returning in the future.

My family and I had a wonderful meal here recently. We love French food, but had never tried Alsatian food specifically. Right from the start, this charming little restaurant felt like stepping into Europe. From the friendly, but professional service to the ambience and delicious...food, we were super thrilled. Highly recommended!

I have known this place for years. It is one of my favorite places for Sunday's branch. Eggs Benedict are well prepared served with breakfast patatoes and fruits. It comes with coffe. There is a clasic eggs and bacon/ham breakfast as well. The garden in the...back is a hiden gem in la prarie.

Got the Sunday brunch, the Alsacien one, on the superb terrasse in the back. Well located in the charming and historic old La Prairie, a perfect morning, with good beer and a good plate brunch. Fair price, good food, with a touch of Alsace specialty,...rare to find elsewhere.

I was looking for a non-chain place to have breakfast and stumbled upon this lovely small restaurant. The service was excellent and friendly. I tried their regular eggs, which were tasty, but their baked goods were definitely a standout. Overall, it's definitely worth a try.
