Bistro le Coq - Reserva de mesa

I'm part of a group of 6 ladies that have a monthly dinner club. We have been going to a different restaurant in Halifax every month for 5 years. This year, our 6th, we started repeating our favourites, so it's no coincidence Bistro le Coq was first to try again. The servers are by far the most knowledgeable we've ever had. They can paint a picture of the description of every meal and do so accurately. From the salads, mussels, frites and veggie sides to the steak, duck and halibut, everything we had was delicious. Highly recommend for a date night, dinner with the in-laws or meal with friends. You will not be disappointed.

We are visiting friends and they said try Le bistro by Liz for French Cuisine. We did it was a waste of time and money.So then we tried this Bistro Le Coq and what a difference. Like night and day.A friend and I split the Tuna Tartare, which was great. seasoned well, fresh and delish.For my main I had the duck breast and it was juicy, sweet and succulent My friend had the salmon and said it was fresh, colourful and juicy.For dessert we shared the creme brûlée and white chocolate mousse. Both great and soooooo tasty. Avoid Le Bistro by Liz if you can and make your way to this Bistro. You wont be disappointed.

This was my second visit to Bistro le Coq and it was as wonderful as the first.The service, menu and ambience are top notch.Our server recommended a lovely red wine Chateau de CourgazaudWe started with the Charcuterie which was delightful - loved it.My son had the steak frites -which was perfectly prepared as ordered "medium rare".I enjoyed the duck confit salad - simply delicious.We skipped dessert despite how enticing the offerings were.Very highly recommend this excellent restaurant.

We dined at Bistro le Coq and they couldn't have been nicer. We needed to change our reservations a number of times and they were very flexible. The setting is very charming and the waitstaff are extremely helpful, providing detailed explanations of their various dishes and wine selection. We had the steak frites and roasted chicken and both were delicious. The wine suggestions were perfect. For a relaxed meal in a charming setting, Bistro le Coq is a hit. Reserva una mesa ahora

Excellent menu, great food, bright professional service. There are so many great places to eat in Halifax but this place is one of my favorites and top of the list. Try the duck and salad Nicoise, steak sandwich; well, anything! Nice house wines.Worth a detour to visit.

We have been here a few times over the years, and the food has always been amazing. The duck breast was fantastic as were the mussels and steak frites. No room for dessert!! Staff is always friendly, and whipped up some excellent signature virgin cocktails this trip!

We were here for a business meeting and we enjoyed a fabulous meal with appetizers beforehand. The serving staff were exceptional!! Friendly, attentive and happy to provide everything you may need. Definitely would recommend.
