Bistro Mon Cheri is a quiet straightforward place to eat with a chef whose talent is anything but ordinary. She is creative and thoughtful in her preparation and presentation of food. As a bonus, she's right there to talk with you about what you might order or even about planning a special meal designed for your own special occasion and preferences. After our first visit we have returned with friends and on our own. Some meals are leisurely and some are just quick and convenient. Don't expect a fancy setting but definitely expect delicious food.
The food and service at this restaurant were excellent. It is a hidden gem in Pasadena. Chef Kimmy, who also served as our hostess, provided exceptional service at this Asian Fusion establishment. It is worth noting that they do not have a liquor license, so guests are encouraged to bring their own adult beverages. However, there is a liquor store located just a block and a half away where you can purchase cold Pinot Grigio. Despite this, we would definitely dine here again. Our party of 7 had a wonderful time.

great food and service. that's a Pasadena motto. chef kimmy was our server and was a great host for her asian fusion event. they bring their own adult drinks, as they have no license. that said a block and halfway was a liqueur that would have left decent cold pinot grigio again. our party had a great time.
The chef at this restaurant is incredibly welcoming and friendly, often greeting guests at the door or making time to visit tables during the meal. The food here is always fresh and delicious. I can't wait to come back again soon!
