One of the absolutely best dining experiences I've ever had in many years. Why have I not ever visited this place before? Thus French Bistro exceeded our expectations and was well worth every penny. First of all, the place had a lovely atmosphere. Ittruly reminded me of our time in Paris. The walls, tables, everything. The place is family owned and it was felt as soon as wewere welcomed inside. Axel provided us with absolutely amazing service and made the meal ever more memorable. The rest of thestaff was equally fantastic. We started with the wold mushrooms soup. This was amazing and perfect. Though we are not womendrinkers we had a couple of glasses of rose. We had a pizza, done fabulously...

we spent a wonderful day meal in bistro555! we sat at our midday reservation. the prix Fixe menu has proved to be perfect! the salmon-out beech was tasteful and seasoned exactly right. the soup soup veloute with bacon bits and a hauch of got cheese was so smooth and tasty. my spouse had the snapper and I had the tender. I rarely asked about him and got exactly what I wanted. the sauce, asparagus and puff potatoes were a very beautiful combination. the red snapper also has rave reviews. wein at the glass selection was good and was a nice serve. all that was with a beautiful dessert that was not too heavy. I think the sections were correct and the prices were appropriate. I also have to praise...

bistro 555 has changed, it seems as it was called bistro Provence. I had the duck cassoulet and wobbly soup. the suppe seemed to be excessively sweet and the cheese upstairs had very little taste. not the beautiful bite of good gruyere cheese the duck with white beans, sausage and pork bell reminded me of dry van de camps pork and drilling with huhn and sausage. I guess I expected a little lighter, less dense. they were exaggerating the duck. it was our jubilee and I was disappointed. my wife had the snapper and she enjoyed her meal. the saffron was very good.

PRO'S: Bistro 555 is an excellent choice for traditional french provincial dishes. We had a well-dressed house salad, escargot trout, all well prepared. Traditional french onion soup was slightly beefy too hot. Excellent service and a modest priced winelist made the evening enjoyable. CON'S: The stiff, traditional french bread was not my favorite style. SUMMARY: Bistro 555does a fine job of recreating traditional french dishes and will continue to be a restaurant we visit. Excellent food. Margherita pizza was probably the best I've had in Houston. It was made in true Neapolitan style. Per my friend, the lobster pot pie was also great. The tomato soup was on point. The pistachio ice cream was a major disappointment. They werekind enough to change it with creme brulee which was okayish, could've been a little colder but better than the ice cream. Woulddefinitely visit again for the pizza!!! Few decent options for vegetarians.

This is a cute little Cafe style restaurant. It's very small and reminds you of Paris if you've ever been. They nailed the vibe completely. There is very little seating, so I would recommend making a reservation. No cocktails sold here, but plenty ofwine to choose from. The menu is very nice and has something for everyone. Our first time trying escargot and it was verypleasing. Probably will not visit again.

Our first time in this French restaurant since they changed of owners (it?s was before the Bistro Provence . The decoration is very nice, typical from south of France. Large choice of famous French recipes, excellent service and everything was justexcellent (including the bread ???? . Great choice of wines too. They are also closing at 10:00 pm on Saturday which is aplus. We will definitely come back.
