We visited on a somewhat inhospitable day. The cold wind was whipping off the Channel and the clouds were low and grey. It was therefore a huge pleasure to walk into the welcoming warmth of this delightful little restaurant. On a weekday lunchtime it was buzzing, but we were found a table, and at just the right interval were given the menu of the day, handwritten on a large decorative mirror. The choice was limited, but even so it offered enough selection to ponder on for a few minutes. When the food was served it was universally delicious, especially the huge crock of terrine from which you could serve yourself as much, or as little as you fancied.Forty minutes from home in East Anglia it is a little gem to be visited again, a lot more economically than the UK aviators' usual lunch choice of Le TouquetBrilliant!
