We visited Bistrot Gourmand in mid-April. We had a Kir royal and a Pinot Blanc to start with and we opted for the Tartine pizz and a Quiche. Both dishes were wonderful and very tasteful. We also had a tiramisu at the end with was good, but not exceptional. The Bistrot Gourmand is a really interesting bistro just a couple of minutes outside the center of Colmar. The staff was very entertaining and the atmosphere was familial. We really enjoyed our lunch and I totally recommend it to everyone.
We had brunch with our son but I find that the service leaves a little to be desired I was made to understand that I didn't speak French with an accent. I'm sorry I don't speak without an accent, but that's how it is. This explains my bad rating, the brunch was not to my taste but that may be a matter of habit for me there was a lack of pain au chocolat and jams but it is a matter of taste.
We were very happy to find this little gem in Colmar. One in our party needs gluten-free and was able to eat a French crepe (buckwheat) to get the true French experience! The staff was really friendly. Like all European restaurants, don't expect a fast lunch! But this is a good thing and there was plenty of people to watch and wine to drink.

We are a late breakfast at the Bistrot Gourmand and loved the attentive staff and good food on offer. There are some options for vegetarians and the staff is ready and willing to substitute ham for cheese on request.
If we had not seen the good reviews on tripadvisor, we most likely would have walked by. We are so glad we didn't. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. And the food was just excellent.
The food was fine for lunch, but I guess I expected more based on other reviews. We took a galette, a pizza and baked potatoes with cheese - all fine but not extraordinary.
