We had brunch at The Black Cow on Labor Day and don't know if we're going back. It's a shame because the food and drinks are excellent. We had to wait an hour to finally get seated. This long wait always happens. The service was poor and the waiters waitresses were all rushing around to serve people. They were also very noisy. Just watching them stressed us out. Our waitress hurriedly took our order and forgot to bring water to my Son after he asked five times. He had to ask twice for his side order of sausage and for coffee refills. He never got the side order of salsa he asked for. I asked for a refill of soda water and she brought me water. She clearly wasn't doing her job. We spent almos...
Food, Service, Atmosphere... Beyond 5 stars. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They're great with our daughter. Always open to suggestions both to hand out and to receive from the customer. Food has always been amazing, and the menu offers something for everyone. It's a cute restaurant in Montrose along Honolulu, with shops all up and down the strip. You couldn't ask for a better more quaint area just north of LA. The decor inside too is great to look at, adorned with instruments on the wall, and some fun belt driven fans hanging from the ceiling. Definitely try their breakfast, and be sure to come back for dinner! The Chile Stuffed Skillet is so bomb!
While to food was good, the initial service was a mess. No one person at a hostess station or clearly designated to take names. It's definitely catered to regulars, you don't greet and almost take a regulars name down before the people you have in line. While it was quickly rectified it definitely did not impress. Our server on the other hand was like speedy but not in a bad way. We were hungry and ready to order by the time drinks came. Variety of food came rather quickly and had great flavor portions were a little big but we managed.
I don’t know how this place got so many good reviews…the food here is terrible. We waited 10 minutes after we were seated, for anyone to take our order. Their French onion soup strangely comes with a side of sweet zucchini bread with walnuts, all of which was terrible. Burger had no flavor, and fried chicken was dry. How did they get so many stars??

Pleasantly surprised by how quick and delicious our brunch was. Our server, Ronn, was fantastic. Totally on top of it. My kiddos loved the Nutella and banana sandwich. So fun. Plus the biscuit that came with my husband’s omelette was so good that we got 4 to go.
The prices were good, and the food was delicious. Also, one staff she was super nice and kind . I asked about desserts, she explained all of them. Most of the customers are the residents who come to eat. Definitely will stop by here again.!!
I generally give this place 5 stars and it's usually very busy on the weekend. I had ribs and the bbq sauce wasnt tasty. The coleslaw was fantastic and I usually don't like coleslaw. The fries were good too.
Food's good the The people are pleasant. I have eaten there before, but today I just stopped in for a frozen coffee drink. The mocha drink was delicious.

Nice place, old look is great, u get in and its like u went back 100 years in age. Notice the ceiling fans, how all spin with only one machine.
The food is good, price comparable but its a VERY busy place! You can barely hear the person you're with.
