My many experiences at Black Sheep have been positive and delicious. Their recent burger promo is the best food deal on offer in Halifax. These guys know how to bring the bodies in with an incredibly delicious burger. Their cocktails are some of the best of the city. The smell of smoked rosemary fills this place every time an Islander is ordered and that's pretty often. It's a great drink and I'd recommend it to everyone, whether you're a cocktail aficionado or a newbie. Aaaaand I haven't even mentioned PINT BY NUMBERS: the best local beer at an unreal price. Propellor pints anybody? Meet ya at 4.

My mother and I visited this restaurant for brunch and we had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly, the food was excellent, and the service was prompt. We ordered the focaccia french toast and the diner's breakfast, both of which were delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal.

The menu has food I’d never cook at home, the cocktails are cleverly named and f*cking delicious. From food to service (Chloe is a pure delight) and through to decor (rather enjoy the light wood/black walls) I really like this little spot. I find myself returning often Black Sheep is uniquely special.

The service at this restaurant was excellent! I had a special dietary request and the staff went out of their way to accommodate it. I was very impressed. One of the best lunch/ brunch spots in this city hands down. If not the best. The servers are also so excellent and do not helicopter around or interrupt a conversation to simply refill water. Love this place a lot- and hope to see more advertising towards the dinner menu in future !

The food was amazing. Our server Chloe was the sweetest. What a gem her employers have in her! Couldn't help but think that a couple of propane heaters would heat up the deck outside to give extra seating and an extended season.

Care always translates from the top down, and the guys who run this place clearly care. Excellent small plates. Sweet, professional staff. Adventurous cocktails. Comfy setting. And finally, a great brunch downtown.

Fried chicken sandwich I had today was the best fried chicken I've ever tasted. Had to wait awhile for food but we weren't in a hurry and it was well worth the wait.

The beer was excellent, the food was incredible, innovative, and perfectly seasoned. The service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere and location were fantastic.
