Better than the ratings here suggest. The girlfriend and I went for a 6pm dinner on weds night and we were both very satisfied and spoke about going back again with friends next time.We shared the Salmon Tartare and Calamari for entrée, the sizes were fantastic and they both tasted great... even though I do like my calamari a little more crunchy it was cooked very well. For mains I tried the fillet steak and the gf had the duck. My fillet steak was one of the best steaks ive had in a long long time, both the gf and I thought the same after she tried it. It deserves a higher urban spoon rating!! I was thoroughly impressed with these guys. The food was fantastic and our waitress was brilliant (which is very difficult to find in Perth) I dine out too regularly and due to urbanspoon rating I didn't have high expectations for Black Toms- we loved it. I went with two other guys one who like me loves good food and the other would eat anything lol. But we would all go back. The menu portions are very reasonable. Tip: don't go on Monday as there seafood stocks are pretty low otherwise brilliant setting very chilled
Everything wasn't perfect with the meal tonight, but the staff asked how it was and when we let them know it wasn't as good as it could've been they sorted the issues out, the manager came out and chatted about how they could have done better, thumbs up that they identified the short commings and I'm sure they will work on these issues moving forward
Ive been here a few times over the last 3 years and its always been average but since the recent memu change Im happy to report thats changed. Had a delicious lamb cutlet greek salad special today, also at my table were the steak sandwich, calamari chicken and mushroom pasta. Everyone loved their meals. Redemption.

Had lunch here and it was great. The chicken parmie was amazing, one of the best around. Juicy steak sandwiches and chunky burgers, even salads if that's your thing. Give it a go if you're out in West Perth.
Although quite pricey, the food quality and attentive service ensure you get what you pay for. Great atmosphere, highly recommended especially their Angus dish and the seared scallops too.
No one at our table of 8 liked you to eat. a command was wrong and the manager was rude when we tried to correct him. It used to always come here, but something changed.
Dined here tonight and could not fault anything. Service was fantastic food amazing (and heaps of it) and atmosphere was cozy. Will definitely dine here again

The food was very nice and a huge serve. It was pretty hot inside with all the heaters on. The service was very good.
Good for after work drinks, Thursday $15 steak nights a winner
