Blue Heron And Café

This place has a new chef as of May 1st, 2022. Apparently this chef changed the entire menu because he because he disagreed with everything the chef before him did. I orderd the fish platter, corona- beer battered white fish, one piece which was about a 3 x4 piece. It was covered with a dressing that I didn't recognize. The tarter sauce was creme-faiche tarter sauce which doesn't taste like traditional tarter sauce, actual it doesn't have much of a taste at all. It came with a mango-wasabi cole slaw and it was so spicy that my tongue got numb and my nose got very tingly, I thought this was more of a medication than a food. The high season menu and addition of Mr. O as the new manager has been an awesome for the Blue Heron. Can you say FRESH? They make all things fresh. I had the best Freshly made Eggplant Parmesan with fresh zuddles and kale (zucchini noodles . Huge, great flavored portions! And the fresh item list continues... Spinach Artichoke dip, Cauliflower steak, fresh seafood (sells out quickly! ... No Sysco trucks deliver at this restaurant The staff members are wonderful! Make you feel welcome and inviting. A place I would bring my friends and family to anytime..

Pretty decent food with a menu that should have something for everyone. It's very convenient if you're in the community, but it's not the kind of thing I'd go out of my way for especially considering you'd have to check in through the community's gate guard to get there. We happen to be staying a few weeks in our RV so it's convenient for us. We've been in a couple of times and are glad to have this option available.

Baked goat cheese wheel with balsamicodrizzle and bread chips: perfection. Basic Cheeseburger p.l.t.o: juicy, non-greasy, boiled medium: perfection. Freezes hot and crispy. Whiskey Sauer well done. Beautiful view and a great atmosphere! The food is fresh and absolutely delicious! Good to know, it is open to the public daily and has a varied menu. Try it, you will not be disappointed! The Red Snapper with pineapples, mango and papaya was fresh and delicious! Friendly service and will visit again.

Love this place! We stayed in the Great Outdoors for a month and frequented the Blue Heron several times during our stay. Love all their soups! Their food was fresh and the garlic rolls for dinner were amazing!

Great location on a golf course, overlooking a nice lake, maybe more like a very large pond. Food is good, not great, service is good, not great, prices are reasonable. An enjoyable enough experience.

It's a great place. Sat outside and had a Blt sandwich with Coleslaw, my husband had a hamburger and pommes. It wasn't disappointed! Very good food and friendly staff! Reserva una mesa ahora

This place is amazing.The food is outstanding all freshly made. The server was great too. DEFINITELY coming back.FYI you must try the wings.

Love this place. Driving there in the golf cart makes it better. Mo and Beth are wonderful. Come and try it out.
