Our waiter was not that accommodating. He seemed annoyed every time I asked him a question. When we finished our meal about 9:10pm, he dropped off the bill without asking us if we wanted dessert and walked away. I called him back, which he seemed annoyed. Then he proceeded to tell us the kitchen was closed and we couldn’t get a dessert. It was wasn’t our fault we waited 45 minutes and didn’t sit down until 7:45pm. Then he said he went to the kitchen to ask if we could be a dessert. Sure enough we got a dessert. If we go again, I will make sure he doesn’t wait on us again.
I decided to try this restaurant based on the reviews, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. The service was decent, but not exceptional. The food was flavorful, but they really overdid it on the Blue Marlin Crumbs, which overshadowed the dishes' original tastes. My wife ordered the haddock and enjoyed the fish, although she wished they had used less crumbs. I had the lobster pie, but the crumbs had absorbed all the sauce. On the bright side, they offer plenty of parking and do accept reservations.
I’ve been a customer of Blue Marlin for years. I’ve danced back-and-forth with editing my reviews because of service being up and down. Right now the blue Marlin is doing an amazing job. The past few times we’ve dined service has been amazing. Food has been great. My favorite two meals are the chicken Parm and the chicken teriyaki stirfry. Last Friday I visited I ordered the chicken teriyaki occupied with a white Russian. I enjoyed my meal. My service was very good!
