Whenever I am in the area, I always make a point to dine at this restaurant. They offer a wide variety of vegan versions of popular Philly area dishes such as cheesesteaks and hoagies, in addition to standard options like pizza, fries, and wings. I particularly enjoyed the Cyclone cheesesteak, inferno fries, and the sea serpent hoagie - all of which were delicious. The highlight for me was the cheesesteak, which I believe is made with Chao cheese and the mushrooms really stood out. Our Meetup Group went to Boardwalk Vegan for dinner. Molly was so kind and set our table up perfectly. The food amazing. The staff amazing! I had the Surfside Crabcake Sandwich with Pincher Fries (fries with Old Bay). YUM!! I also sampled the funnel cake, and fried oreos TO DIE FOR! You know I had to order a white pizza to bring home and it is the BEST VEGAN WHITE PIZZA I have ever had. Got a Vanilla Sky milkshake for the ride home. You have to take a trip to Boardwalk Vegan. Seating is limited but takeout always works too! I loved my experience and can't wait to go back.
I recently visited Boardwalk Vegan and tried the disco fries and the Jet Star. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. Being from the Jersey shore originally, I was thrilled to discover a restaurant that offers vegan versions of all my favorite boardwalk treats, such as funnel cake and fried Oreos. My partner and I both ordered a tuna sub and a side of fries, and we also shared some garlic knots. It was a lot of food! We probably could have just shared one sandwich and fries. The sandwich and fries were delicious, but we felt that the garlic knots could have had more garlic flavor. Overall, it was a good restaurant. I absolutely loved this restaurant! The owners were so pleasant and delightful! Very helpful and guiding me through the menu. I had the margarita pizza, the twister, a milkshake, and the funnel cake. I definitely took home enough leftovers to feed me for the next three days. Vegan “comfort” food never tasted so good!
The pizza dough balls were quite simply out of this world. Their “cheese” may legit be the best vegan cheese I’ve ever had. The salad was plentiful and delicious. The pretzels were on point. Staff is super friendly. Highly recommended!
Delightful, clean sunny space! The food is some of the best vegan we have ever tasted! Staff is so nice. Indoor space (albeit limited) available. Outdoor too. Do yourself a favor and go!
