This restaurant has gone down the toilet. 6 years ago, we had great meals and a great experience when we stayed at Taboo. Seems to be run by teenagers now. We spent the last weekend at this restaurant and both nights had to send the food back. Night 1 chicken tenders off the kids menu were completely raw inside. Night 2 the grilled chicken on our salad was covered in short hairs. They said they’d rebuild the entire salad. We tore a piece of lettuce to see if that would be true. Sure enough the same salad came back, just with a new piece of chicken. On the weekend they have a live singer who is performing way too loudly and way too close to the tables. Ignored while waiting to be sat, after 25 mins had to go up to the girl that sat us to ask if we could order drinks. She was wiping down a random door rather than asking us what we needed???? Different server took over. To clarify our experience was not bad because of her. Unfortunately it was 2 hours not worth the wait for the price we were paying for any of our food!!!! Soggy undercooked flatbread followed by a pasta with no sauce and huge chunks of pork fat. My server got the kitchen to remake it (pictured is what I was sent home with) a box of macaroni?!?!? No sauce, no pork, not even the same type of noodle. I was so confused thank god did not have to pay for my meal!!!! Save your time...

I had the extreme pleasure to dine for my birthday on the gorgeous Boathouse restaurant patio overlooking Lake Muskoka. Our server, Paige, was so nice, courteous and exemplified what I have come to expect at this outstanding resort. Our food was brought in a timely fashion, presentation was great and absolutely delicious! My compliments to the chef!The menu was well priced. Excellent selections! I have visited this place over a span of 20 years. The patio ambiance and the views are spectacular. However the quality of food and drinks have gone way down and prices are out of this world for what is offered. It is being run by teenagers working at a summer job. It’s too bad as it has so much potential. Alternative patio choice to go to would be at Touchstone Resort. Won’t be disappointed. Reserva una mesa ahora

Leah ensured we always had drinks, while Noah expertly crafted them, providing us with excellent service. Without a passion for sports, we might have been in trouble! We definitely need more of that atmosphere! I also appreciated how Leah and Noah turned on the game commentary for us. They are truly great people! I thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

The restaurant offers a stunning view of the lake and features live music, but unfortunately, the food was inedible. While it was pricey, I expected that a burger and fish and chips would be simple dishes to get right.

First time at The Boathouse. Excellent experience.Server Bihari was super. Bartender Noah was great. Our starter was a Caesar to share.Husband had the Prime Rib and I had the blackened trout. They both were delicious.
