Dang wow! Such an iconic place right in my backyard and this is my first time coming and brought my son! Such a great experience for both my son and me since we love nostalgic places and we also love delicious food. My son had eaten breakfast so he opted for dessert, a hot fudge cake Sunday and I was famished and craving a spring mix salad and BOY did they deliver! I’ve not had Bobs Big Boy for over 35 years, they closed the location near me and the Red Relish that went on the Big Boy burger has stuck with me. When I found there was one in Downey and were in Bellflower it was a no brainer. I had the Big Boy, son had the Best Cheeseburger on the Planet, wife had the House Salad, Chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies. I’m a regular at Bob’s, and I can confidently say the food is excellent! I’ve tried several of their dishes, and I've never been disappointed! The service is off the charts; if I had to rank it from one to ten, I’d give it a million! They follow the “C.A.Y.G.” method, which stands for Clean As You Go, ensuring a spotless and inviting atmosphere every time you visit. I truly feel like part of the big family here at Bob's! came here for an early party. party of 4 on Friday at 18:30 clock. we sat right away. clean and attentive. our server was amazing, but I didn't get their names. it's probably over 20 years since I've been with a giant recorder and it was just what I remember! the salat of the dressing! amazing! then I couldn't decide what to get away from. I went with the fried chicken. do it! it was perfect! and had to cover it with a sunshade. hopefully it's not 20 years to my next visit. thank you!

I have to say it was fantastic. I had a country roasted steak with a side of sweets, and the steak was absolutely delicious—probably the best country-fried steak I’ve ever had, to be honest. Additionally, the restaurant's design has a charming retro feel that’s quite rare these days. The waiter was also lovely. It wasn’t very busy when I left, so the waiting times were minimal. Overall, I would definitely recommend it—10/10!
Ok, it's not exactly the same as back in the day. They don't have French salad dressing anymore. The big boy bun is a lot thicker and the lettuce isn't as shredded as it used to be. But, the hot fudge cake is exactly the same! That was worth the drive.
The customer service was satisfactory, but the quality of the food has declined significantly. It used to be a nice place to visit with family, but now the 45-minute drive doesn’t feel worth it. Overall, it was a rather disappointing experience.

For some reason, this location is far above other ones. The fries are extra delicious, the burger extra well executed. Service is great.
