Came to this garden centre to buy some flowers for our garden, spent £130ish overall. My wife and I fancied a cake and a cuppa and noticed there was hardly anyone in the restaurant, apart from 4 members of staff by the tills at the end of the counter. They were caught up in their own little world, chatting, moving trays of crockery and totally ignored us as if we were not there. We looked at each one for a few minutes, then turned around and left with nothing, heading for the main till in the garden centre to pay for our goods. Six members of my family gathered at the restaurant for a long-awaited reunion after six months apart. We all reside in various locations across North West North Wales, but since I live in the area, I recommended this restaurant as our meeting spot. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food we were served today. Four out of the six of us agreed that the food was below par (I was one of those four). I had praised the restaurant to my family, so I felt embarrassed by the subpar meal. Avoid at all costs, this is a terrible place to eat. The staff are absolutely clueless, miserable and not friendly at all they could not be any more unwelcoming if they tried and they don’t even have any manners when serving you. No hello, or thank you or even a little smile. The jacket potatoes were the absolute worst I have ever had. Obviously just cooked in the microwave and not edible. We were glad to leave and won’t be returning. Worst staff and worse food around!
Very poor customer service. Cashier was incredibly rude. Had to ask for a glass for my bottle of coke, cashier slammed glass down without a word. Again same for spoon, milk for tea. Everything was too much effort. Would have liked ice in my coke .. A manager supervisor came up and said after a person in the queue that no more hot food was being served. People were still joining the queue so wouldn’t have been aware. Wouldn’t bother again.

We had afternoon tea it was delicious and plentiful Lovely sandwiches scones with jam and cream and lots of cakes just perfect The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant Been on quite a few occasions first time afternoon tea but every time we have been have never been disappointed Thank you all so much for a great time
Arrived at 14.20. queued for food. Finally got to till 14.30 ordered soup. To be told. Only hot drinks now I asked him to repeat. no hot food only hot drinks As hot food was leaving the kitchen going past me I asked why. stopped seving hot food So ignorant. Left and went to Rivendel up the road. No issues. Good food
Oh dear! Only one person taking orders. Wait for placing your order is unacceptable Ran out of jacket potatoes by 1.40 pm. Would have thought they would be a staple purchase by the kitchen staff!! Sorry, but not impressed with our experience
The food at this restaurant was fantastic, and even though it may not be the most upscale dining experience, the atmosphere is inviting. The service was a bit slow, but considering how crowded it was, they must be doing something right.

I don't usually leave reviews but after reading some of those left I was very surprised, I have always come away thinking brilliant food/service and value for money , I must just have been lucky.
