Bon Ga Korean Cuisine & Rolls

Travelling through BC Interior gives us a chance to experience a lot of family owned small restaurants, a change to all the national or provincial chain restaurants we are all too familiar with. Bon Ga is another example of the whole family pitching in, the...husband and wife team is the backbone of this tiny restaurant, the setting is also very homey with round tables spreading throughout the space. I have to say interior decor is not their strength, you are there mostly for the food. Dinner items: Pork Bone Soup: their version seems to vary from time to time as I reviewed the photos from fellow Yelpers, some has more vegetable then others and in my case none! I'm not very well versed in Korean, but I fell in love with a dish called Jeyuk Bokkeum (stir fried spicy pork) and it's excellent here! My wife and both I enjoyed our meals very much (she had the Pad Thai) and the included side...dishes (Kimchi, seasoned bean sprouts, and cold potato cubes) were nice add ons and a necessary palate cooler. At the time my wife and I were the only ones in the restaurant and the service was VERY fast. We'd certainly come back.

My husband and I have had lunch at the Bon Ga Korean restaurant in Kelowna today. It was our first visit to this restaurant. The waiter was very friendly. We ordered a kimchi soup, Korean roll and a plate of Haemul Pajeon to share. It...looks us minutes to wait for the food. The presentation was good and we enjoy the dishes. We have tried so many Korean restaurant, Bon Ga Korean restaurant is average. It was a positive experience overall.

The beef bulgogi and jeyeuk bokkeum were absolutely delicious. We were able to eat at a table following Covid protocols and the service was attentive yet practical. Thankfully we arrived early for supper because there was a steady stream of food pick ups and eat...ins after we arrived. Quality food and quick service made this first trip to a Korean restaurant a positive experience. Hope to visit again.

We wanted a quick dinner on our last night in Kelowna for this visit, and we tried their Beef Bulgogi, Gam Ja Tang (Hot Pork Bone Soup), and Korean Rolls (similar to sushi rolls but without wasabi). The bulgogi and gam ja tang were excellent...as dine-in items, and we'd happily order it for takeout. The Korean rolls were...let's just say I prefer Japanese sushi rolls for texture and taste.

The dumplings were best I’ve had. Bugolgi was incredible. Seafood pancake and the tempura veggies were scrumptious. The kimchi radish accompaniment they bring out was super nice and home made. The owners were cooking and waiting and they were lovely, super accommodating, brought out special...place settings for our kids. Regret not finding this gem sooner!

Waiter was extremely nice and was always listening to your conversation to see if he can help. For example he over heard me telling my parents I wanted a fork and gave it to me immediately. The food was absolutely spectacular. The hot bone soup...and bulgogi dishes were outstanding. This is a must eat.

Excellent service, good tasty food, lots of variety, cozy environment but a bit expensive! Be patient in looking for a parking spot.

Quiet Restaurant but delicious. Had bulgogi and bibimbap. Would definitely go again. Owner was a very friendly person.

They have really good food and a really friendly owner! I came in before dinner rush so it was chill for studying
