We were very excited to discover that BOOMburger had come to Nova Scotia after becoming infatuated with their food and atmosphere during a summer in Charlottetown last year. The burgers are freshly made, with loads of high quality toppings to choose from, and the servings of fresh are hot, fresh and very generous. I did find, however, that too much mustard was added to the burger - it overpowered the taste of everything else. And, with the 'zesty pepper' added to our fries, they were incredibly salty. I will return, but I will leave the mustard off the burger and ask for no salt on the fries.
I'm nor usually a burger & Fries kind of eater however that changed when I discovered Boom Burger.....I have to limit my visits there as it was becoming a little too often ;)They make the fries in store fresh cut from PEI potatoes and they are amazing! Generous portions, cooked to perfection and yummy! Burgers offer lots of toppings, are fresh beef and always tasty. My only complaint is they don't have a drive thru...however if I am going to eat burger & fries at least I can walk it off having to go in!!
My husband and I went in during Halifax's Burger Week and had the Foxy Dill burger. It was delicious! The place was busy too. This should be a regular item on the menu, I'm not sure if it is or not. The bun was buttered with Cow's Creamery butter. It had a dill sauce, dill pickle chips and of course dill pickle on it. It was a delicious real meat, juicy, perfectly cooked patty too! One of the top 2 burgers I have EVER had in my life and it was tied for first place.
Yes the fries are a bit greasy !!! They are French fries !! Made from fresh PEI potatoes with the skins on.... Excellent flavour with extras in the bottom of the bag. Burger was simpleand delicious and loaded with great toppings including fresh lettuce and tomatoe. A fried egg would have been a nice addition. I'll be back with the crew. Welcome to Nova Scotia.
Visited with family and it was average.The service was fast and the fries were good but the menu is limited.Even though we ate in, it all came in a paper bag.They should use trays when eating in and they should not wrap the burgers in foil.Our burgers were all squished and the buns were all wrinkly...lolThere are better burger places to spend your cash.
Ordered a bacon burger with the works& a large poutine was delish!! My boyfriend and I split a large poutine and couldn't finish it because it was so big! I like how everything is cooked right in front of you so you know it's nice and clean. Fries fresh cut yummy! Fresh burgers not frozen .. yummy:)! Def go back!
